Annoying in many ways. And indicative of the egos at play.

A manager not on his way out tries to win this game. Does not do any favours for the likes of lallana or steele, who could easily have been brought on for 2 mins at the end for a round of applause.

Take the best player in the game (baleba) out, without giving him a go with Billy while Gross strolls through the game.

A champing at the bit Enciso on the bench.

On the plus side, Barco is going to be brilliant and a couple of additions aside we have an insanely good team available to the right manager.

Moder was rubbish today. Got absolutely destroyed by garnacho.
He’s not a full back and Garnacho regularly destroys decent full backs. I thought Moder had a decent game overall. One of the few positives along with Barco, Baleba and Pedro (other than his finishing)

Well that summed up the season for me. Started off well, lots of effort and huff and puff but ultimately failed to get anything from that and then fell down at the end.

On to the Manager and players leaving/arriving rumour mill for the summer.

I thought he had a good game, so good to see him back on form . . .hopefully the new manager will use him to his strengths, but also has the versatility to be a useful utility player . . .a la Gross

who was very dissapointing today, so negative, no courage . . . .

A real let down to the end of the season losing thos 2 games.

Shocking in front of goal and shocking we conceded two times straight through the centre without them having to do anything.

I think about 8 first team players needed, given the rate we sustain injuries.

He was decent and composed in an unfamiliar position. Which is what you notice watching football in a stadium. Instead of noticing a player only in the moments they make a mistake on television.

The injuries will miraculously stop next season now that a certain Bielsa wannabe has gone.

Hopefully over the summer they'll all attend passing practice at the local under 8's saturday school...particularly the pass to someone in the same shirt as you practice...

Seriously it was a bit of a let down indeed...the first half was promising, but then a few brain farts and we are 2 nil down....can't even blame the ref today...

Welbeck why a two year deal didn’t get onto any balls played to him today to slow.
I don’t really understand why everyone acts like Danny Welbeck is our saviour. He’s a good striker, but should only be playing for the last 30 minutes - that type of player.

Sums up RDZ season in the league. Boring football, hardly trouble opposing keeper - let in an easy chance. Look forward to a new season with a focussed manager
To be fair, we did force a few saves out of him in the first half when we were well on top.
I'm finding it impossible to be anything other than glad De Zerbi is going, the final 3rd of this season has been absolute dogshit a complete reversal of the previous two 3rds. Injuries are only part of the story, De Zerbi checked out in the New Year, thanks for Europe close the door on your way out mate.
I reckon his check out was around the time of that Fulham game when Lallana gave that odd post-match interview. Public slating of the squad around the same time can’t have done much for player morale either.
