What a week - Trump el Presidento and Brighton beating Man City! A fantastic second half and a well deserved Victory (if you discount the first 35 mins). Plus a biased ref! Great performance. We beat Man City 4 1 in 1979 at the Goldstone. Tony's dad was a director of Brighton at the time.

So was I ! Poor old Gerry - every time I bumped into him it was arm around neck 'heh Gerry - remember that wonder goal you scored against Man C'. True story met him on his first day in Brighton̈ (working as office Junior in a Brighton estate agency - partner was mates with Mike Bamber) and had to show him round a couple of houses. TB H I found him q hard to understand with his broad Irish accent.

Baleba came on and seemed to be channeling Bisouma and Caicedo with a bit of Maradona's dribbling skills. Absolutely brilliant.

I was about to say O'riley was looking good, then up he pops to score.
Pedro seemed to take a few minutes to get going then showed what we'd been missing.

What was going on between Guardiola and Van Hecke at the end? Look like Mr Sore Loser was pulling Van up on some pulling. Might be wrong but VH didn’t look that happy about it.
I thought JPVH was absolutely class in that. Pep was doing all of that nicey nice magnanimous shit at the beginning but you could see he was waiting to call out something JP did. JP was having none of that while remaining calm, respectful and not intimidated by the Sport Washers Boss. Brilliant.

Had to watch this one on Sky. At full time when they cut back to the studio the very first question asked was what could Man City do better!! No doubt more of the same on MOTD later.
What a sweet sweet result. Baleba the difference maker, immense from Igor and JPVH and Pedro but so so pleased for MOR..he looks like he’s got it to me 😍😍
Lovely to see so many city players simply bounce off Carlos but particularly that petulant munter Haaland.

"Brighton have a philosophy and foundation that they’ve built at the club, but we’re Manchester City. We’re the reigning champions and should come here and definitely get a result.”

Kyle Walker getting very close to a #TeamsLikeBrighton comment there :lolol:

Hang on in there buddy, there might be more to come.
That did tickle me! You are right, of course, it’s just that what has happened to this club thanks to sir Tony is almost beyond belief for this old git, retired to the Costa Blanca. People can call me a licker but the job he has done is absolutely outstanding. When I came here 20 years ago I had to explain who my football club was and most people had never heard of us. Now I get big grins and told muy bueno (very good) all the time. They know who we are now, that’s for sure.

I bloody love he feeling after a win like that, the 48 hours of soaking in every little bit of discourse around the game is magical.

Sesrching player names on Twitter, staying up to watch MOD after already watching the highlights on Youtube, writing up a mental list of all the football podcasts I need to listen to on Monday at work.

I bloody love it, I tell you.
