I disagree we showed them much too respect and played the wrong way in 1st half if we had played in the 1st half like we did in the 2nd half we might of got something out of the game

Poor right at the end but at least we gave it everything in the second half and great to have Lamptey back and looking good. City first half would have ripped most teams apart. I felt that the second half display should give us comfort that we can take on the best when we are right on it. Just important to get the balance right in terms of dynamic players. We miss Webster and Bissouma.
Hopefully we’ll have Webster back for Liverpool. Maybe give him a half against Leicester to get him back into things.

Actually, we are better than that.
We made a series of (uncharacteristic) errors and this was compounded by naive tactics when it mattered.
We would probably have lost anyway but we are capable of being more competitive than we were tonight . We were dreadful in the crucial first half and the last goal was a shambles too.
