did you not see the row with potter at the whistle? literally lying on the ground kicking his legs in the air and screaming, along with his 55 strong coaching team

Only just seen it. I take it back, I thought he was a decent bloke but he sure changed his tune when on the losing side. Makes it that little bit sweeter.

He's a winner and a class act. Some ridiculous comments here about him.

It's more his horrible entourage of pricks who like to dish it out. Petrol FC are so rich they have about 20 first team coaches. The rest of us have 3. They like to wag their finger at others as if they are superior. It's easy when you have the best players and most money. Try doing what Tony Bloom, Hughton, Barber and Potter have done. Or even Steve Gritt.

Worst referee performance of the season according to pundit on talk shite....city have been beaten by Brighton thuggery and should of had Ali J sent off and a stonewall pen to city in final minute!! Oh dear now they know how we feel after man u earlier in season

Cannot stand that radio station. Presenters are t0ssers, pundits are t0ssers and opinions are cr@p.

How annoying was it that Edison time wasted from the 2nd minute and yet Sanchez took his time for one goal kick and got booked!!?? Are these refs just total morons.

Only one thing that could have made my evening out better and that would have been all of us being able to be there together.

Just looking at the comments on the BBC website from the game and the vast majority of the Citeh fans are applauding us and saying that we deserved the win. Lots of grumbles but overall positive. Surprisingly.

The team - Magnificent

The crowd - Magnificent

Graham Potters reaction at the final whistle - Pure class, unlike Pep & Co.

Another mention for the crowd, you were that 12th man for us tonight

Nice to see Dunk and Duffy on the pitch at the end

That will go down as one of my all time favourite games over the last 59 years.

Here's a poem I wrote back in 2011, some of it is on the wall in the East Stand Lower concourse, it sums up how I feel tonight.

Me and Dad

Please take me to The Goldstone Dad, I'd really like to go
I've never seen a football match, oh please just make it so
I'll take you son but you must behave and not just muck about
But watch and cheer the boys in blue and maybe give a shout
And watch out if the ball comes near, just mind your head and dip
And pay no heed to naughty words that slip through grown ups lips

So off we went that rainy day in 1962
To see the team in brilliant shirts with stripes of white and blue
The Goldstone was an awsome sight seen through my keen young eyes
The terrace, pitch and people, flood lights towering in the sky
Crowds of people, sights and sounds, the smell of grass and fags
Listening to the grown ups talking, laughing at their gags

The teams ran out and cheers began, some boos for the opposition
A song rang out and singing started from all in our position
What is that song called Dad? I asked, and why are people singing
That's Good old Sussex by the sea, it sometimes helps us winning
We won the game and I was hooked, please can I come again?
I didn't mind the standing Dad, I didn't mind the rain

And so began my love affair with the team in blue and white
I really had no choice at all, it always just felt just right
Dad died in 1975 and look at what he missed
promotion to division one, league trophies being kissed
A small slight lad called Peter Ward the best we'd ever seen
The FA Cup at Wembley, just United spoiled our dream

The trio of devious traitors who ripped our club apart
The Goldstone being torn down would have broken his tired heart
Two sad years without a home, the club saved by Dick Knight
Moving to The Withdean to save our clubs dire plight
Ten long years of fighting trying to get our stadium built
Small minded Parish Councillors live with their share of guilt

The ups and downs, the wins defeats, a rollercoaster ride
But always cheering Albion on with love and hope and pride
And finally The Amex rose after all the years of pain
With thanks to Mr Tony Bloom, no more freezing in the rain
But when I take my seat at last, one thing will make me glad
That day in 1962, The Goldstone, me and Dad.

Absolutely gutted. Went to every home game up till Covid in that season, could have got a ticket tonight being in 2nd tier, my pub finally reopened tonight after 7 odd months so had to be there. Couldn't believe the scoreline, incredible, so so jealous !!

I've been out all night so just caught up with MOTD. What an atmosphere, wish I'd been there.

I was actually at the rugby club where we were having a coaches development session with some bloke from the RFU. Of course, I was trying to keep with the score surreptiously, until a committee member saw me and gave me a bollocking. We were 2-2 at that point.

I went to the bog a few minutes later and saw the score and couldn't believe it. I then relayed the result to a few people around the club (not everyone is hostile to football, I was chatting to a West Brom and a Hammers supporter later).

I think I was grinning all the way home - but what a game to have missed.

My best mates a City fan. No grumbles from him at all, all positive messages through the game. From my experience of living in Manchester, they have the best fans of the 'big 6' clubs.

I agree with this. But Man City need to learn a few lessons in treating away fans inside and outside the ground.

They treat away fans like scum.

In my own strange world
I think this match epitomised everything that makes us love football so much, little ol' Brighton and Hove Albion beating the mega money oil rich Premier league Champions, coming back from 2 nil down to humble the fancy Dan money boys 3 - 2, the crowd bursting your ear drums with the noise they were making for a fantastic night of football, if any match was an advert as to why the E.S.L. was so very wrong, this was it. A perfect night at the Amex!

Great 2nd half . Lallana and Trossard changed that . Fans were fantastic too .

If AJ is playing to be in the shop window then maybe someone like Cambridge will take a punt .

Almost so typical of us at the end when giving away balls late doors .

Var actually on our side for a change . Not a red and pen against us at the end for me .

Var is a joke though . Barely celebrated the winner as thought offside - not football !

Decent night and betters last season due to better GD so progress .

Being greedy would like not to be 4th bottom . We can win at arsenal .

Work to do in the summer but good base to do so from .

Moder will be BIss replacement ? Fancy him not to hit row z every shot
