They can appeal the card, usually VAR backs the on-field decision unless an absolute howler.

That ref in the studio says he has to have it under control but how the hell could he when he's being hauled down ?!?
 


Sorry, but that is a ridiculous red card decision

I thought it needed looking at but you can't have defenders shoulder barging like that when one on one, close call but the right decision

You absolutely know that if the roles were reversed,there would be no doubt at all.
