The same City that Thrashed Liverpool, Burnley and Newcastle? Can we play the one that's dropped 33 points instead of that one?

Hang on. So they haven’t dropped than many points?

Having said all this we have far greater issues when it comes to the summer. The break may do him good and realistically who better are we going to get at a sensible price?

A better keeper is worth more to the team than an average forward, similar costs

I think Potter will have learned a few things about one or two players tonight.

To be fair to the lad Bernardo, he hasn't played in bloody ages. On you go son, see how you get on against the best footballing side in the world on their day. Crazy

Same with AJ

They played really well in the semi final but Knockaert and AJ offered a lot more than Mooy and Gross.

Terrible performance but the cover isn’t great out there.

I like Bernardo but this has been his worst performance for us

As we’ve discussed, I don’t rate either of them. Montoya has been put in some lovely positions and just doesn’t have a cross, Bernardo less so. His ball watching for their 2nd is just kids stuff, and he had no interest in stopping the cross for the 3rd for which Montoya looked to have even less interest trying to challenge his man.

I get the impression Potter is using this game to run the rule over a few players, and I wouldn’t be surprised if both were offered out next season if we get reasonable offers and can bring some cover in.

Sorry, I just don’t see what you see in them, but that’s football, all about opinions.

Let's stick to facts - we did have six players in their half. Need to get better at pressing though. Still better than all within touching distance of our own penalty area!

The facts are that teams that try that in open play against Solskjaer or Guardiola, get a hiding. We do not have the $$$$ quality to take them on in a pure end to end footballing contest.

To get a result, you have to be street wise.

It's not that City are so good that's pissing me off, it's the just lack of effort or care from our team. Dont we care we may lose by 7 or 8?

Totally agree. Yes, we did not expect to get a result but the level of effort and professionalism shown by some is just unacceptable.

I don't care how good City are - and they're very, very good - but if you pass the ball to them again and again and again and fail to stop routine shots, they're going to look like Brazil 1970. This is embarrassingly one-sided and, frankly, an inexplicable and indefensible performance. You have to wonder what Potter's going to say about it after the game because the only positive so far is that the two against the woodwork didn't go in.

We will learn from this and move on.

If we ever get to spend BILLIONS on players, get our ground for free, get millions for naming rights we might just be able to compete.
I hope they get banned from European competition for years.

Teams have good spells and bad spells. Well apart from Liverpool. We play well some games, but not as many as the best teams. Sometimes the best teams have an off day, but not as often as we do. That's the nature of a league. Yes, we're playing poorly tonight, on the night that City are playing really well. That's what happens. Over a season you tend to get what you deserve, hence we probably wont be relegated, and City will finish 2nd.

I know what you are saying but before the covid break he was not this poor. By contrast I've never understood the love for Propper. And whilst I'm having a moan does Mooy need to lose a few pounds?

Man City are a fantastic side and well out of our ability to challenge but when you watch a game like this is does make you realise what we are competing with in this league... we will never be this good, I guess as I’m in my mid twenties and I’ve seen us yo-yo about a bit in the lower leagues I’ve just got used to that, the prospect of at best mid table season after season is quite depressing actually.

Difficult to explain but when you see this difference in quality, it’s hard not to question what the hell is the point?

Welcome to life as a BHA supporter. I am in my mid 50s & we have achieved mid table mediocrity in the top flight once in my life. That’s as good as it gets!
