It was a bit like The Good, The Bad and The Ugly there tonight.

The Good, Gruda in particular started to show he definitely has something. The spell we had at 0-1 was fantastic, 3 or 4 fantastic moves tearing Liverpool apart. That's why Slot felt he needed Mac and Salah on the pitch, he knew we could get back into the game.

And a small shout out to the save their keeper made at 1-0. That was stunning. I am not even sure Allison would have made that.

Also Mitoma will have Trent on toast on Sunday (Bradley being the starter for the last 15 tonight).

The Bad, the sloppy defending at times, playing ourselves into trouble.

The Ugly, three really avoidable goals have let us down.

On to Sunday, let's see if we learn the lessons with a very different starting 11.

Mmmmm..... I thought he was impressive.

You don't score with every attack against the top side in the top league in the world.

(I just thought of a good analogy for that but even me, with my neurodiversity, realized that I would risk an infraction if I shared it.
Maybe I'm slowly learning to think about the sensitivities of other people. Just wait till I hit 67 - I may have become borderline pleasant :lolol: )
I got much nicer when I hit 67...but that went out the window three years later 🤣.
Seriously though... Mitoma DID play well, he's so good, just you know, I wanted more incisive link up play in and around the box. Yes, I'm grumpy 😉

Well the signs were there the minute I saw the match day programme pull out, really 😒
it wasn’t even the quarter finals.

Then my suspensions were ringing when the day and son next to me failed to stand or sing for “Sussex-by-the-sea”
he then tried to hide his delight doing a fist punch as Liverpool scored, then covered his face laughing.
from that point he knew, I knew clearly a local Liverpool fan, and he gave up trying to hide, clapping attacks and smugly smiling.

how the feck are they aloud tickets in the North, just pisses me off, I acted accordingly because I was with my daughter and left when they scored the third and he jumped up, by leaving and loudly telling my daughter
“we’re off, theres obviously a lot plastic scousers here, check your pockets make sure nothings missing bef we leave”

that taught him….

In all honesty, it was really, really pissing me off he was sat next to me.
I love Liverpudlian Liverpool supporters. I know a few.

Southern carpetbaggers, who picked an allegiance based on which player was the most 'cool' in their photo on the back of a Typhoo Tea packet in 1967, or who picked their allegiance based on what the cool kid in class (whose dad picked his allegiance based on which player was the most 'cool' in their photo on the back of a Typhoo Tea packet in 1967) are sad, very sad, arsehats.

And if they dare to smirk at our misfortune inside our stadium... frankly I might have had more to say.

For example, I may have complimented your neighbour on how much he looked like Mark Lawrenson, then asked whether the rumours that the great man was shagging his mother (X years ago - you can do the maths) are true.

I thought we matched Liverpool this evening and were only beaten by ourselves with 3 terrible mistakes.
Some of the back ups did themselves the world of good imho whilst others probably played themselves out of the squad for now.
It’s a shame we didn’t progress given who went out today but we certainly didn’t embarrass ourselves

Different managers, same type of Albion-LFC game, end to end …. never a dull nil nil and not a low block in sight. Loved the first half taking it in turns to chant and the huge welcome to Macca.

The Albion players whose all round game (i.e. they weren’t a defensive shambles) stood out for me were Wieffer, Ferguson (he’s back), Ferdi (he’s really good), Mitoma, Adingra, Gruda.

Enciso put in a huge shift and hogged set pieces but I’m not sure that made it count.

Wieffer got the lowest BBC rating. Was I mistaken watching from the NS, was he sh1t?

Some women do play well so wouldn’t work

Most run different to men though . That’s just a difference in the species

Stick to the football better
Sorry, just gone back and seen that the original user I called out did say Wieffer “plays like a girl” so no clue why you made this about running except to obfuscate.

I liked the Liverpool Bella Ciao chant - I've never heard that before. Do other teams use it? It makes a great football song

Ah well, thought we did ok. We kept going and thought it was a spirited showing overall. Some good individual performances. Liked Gruda. Certainly don't feel as pissed off as I did after the calamity on Saturday afternoon. Roll on Saturday.
