Liverpool were there for the taking in the first hqlf.
Our intensity is a problem
That was a weak Albion team out there in the first half. Moder, for example, played like an abandoned Skoda. Lamptey did well to get in front of goal, but he's no striker.

I enjoyed the game and expect the manager learnt a lot. We shall see, at the weekend just how much.

Perhaps explain why you used the phrase 'playing like a girl' ?
Not everything needs to be a campaign

He does run more like a female and doesn’t look the standard of a man’s teams

Doesn’t have to be offensive

Not everything is about being a victim

We have a strange squad there are some positions we have an embarrassment of riches and then some we are alarmingly weak for strength in depth. Would really like to see Ferdi at right back as Lamptey just doesn’t look capable defensively anymore. Centre half’s we are an injury away from disaster. Cannot wait to get O’Riley and Gomez in the midfield either.

Not campaigning, not being a victim.

Point taken I’m a very reactionary guy. But see my post a few pages ago I am complimentary tonight of Gruda, Ferguson, Welbeck, Mitoma, Igor… I think it could be a positive also that Fab may now know who’s not up to the level required
Yeah I did see that just now. 😃
I honestly think he will come good if given the time to adapt. 🙏

I get frustrated with Mitoma, it's not that he plays badly but he could have so much more impact. Beats one or two, drives toward the near post or 6 yard box but doesn't get his head up early enough to look for our strikers, then runs into two defenders and loses the ball 🤷🏼‍♂️
It's getting frustrating to watch.

No idea what that means

Alternatively, you don’t have to be offensive  But perhaps “he plays like a girl” is the best some people can express themselves.

lamptey was so exciting at times going forward but defensively a shambles.

Veltman is not a centre back is he.

Enciso is now really worrying me.

I am annoyed we rested people. I would far rather have tried to win this cup than go for the league.
On Enciso, when some of our injured players return I don’t think he makes the match day squad anymore. If Welbeck, Rutter, Pedro and Mitoma start in the attacking positions I think Ferguson, Adingra, Gruda and Minteh are the four on the bench. Never mind when March is back too.

Some women do play well so wouldn’t work

Most run different to men though . That’s just a difference in the species

Stick to the football better

It's a bit sad to not go full strength tonight. I don't care what Liverpool do but we have a decent squad that players can surely play 2 games in a week, on occasions. It was always going to be difficult anyway. If we were planning to treat the game like we have, why not play several if the academy prospects.

Mmmmm..... I thought he was impressive.

You don't score with every attack against the top side in the top league in the world.

(I just thought of a good analogy for that but even me, with my neurodiversity, realized that I would risk an infraction if I shared it.
Maybe I'm slowly learning to think about the sensitivities of other people. Just wait till I hit 67 - I may have become borderline pleasant :lolol: )

Brighton factually.....
Well the signs were there the minute I saw the match day programme pull out, really 😒
it wasn’t even the quarter finals.

Then my suspensions were ringing when the dad and son next to me failed to stand or sing for “Sussex-by-the-sea”
he then tried to hide his delight doing a fist punch as Liverpool scored, then covered his face laughing.
from that point he knew, I knew clearly a local Liverpool fan, and he gave up trying to hide it, clapping attacks and smugly smiling in my direction (tw@t)

how the feck are they aloud tickets in the North, just pisses me off, I acted accordingly because I was with my daughter and left when they scored the third and he jumped up, by leaving and loudly telling my daughter
“we’re off, theres obviously a lot plastic scousers here, check your pockets make sure nothings missing before we leave”

that taught him….

In all honesty, it was really, really pissing me off he was sat next to me.
