You can’t play out from the back like this unless your receiving players have excellent technical ability. That’s why the team is more successful with this when Gilmour is playing. Neither of our central midfielders have the control necessary to play in that way - tactics need to be adjusted accordingly in these situations.

RDZ will be absolutely fuming and rightly so. So dominant and looking great till 5 mins before half time. Shambles end to the half
He's seems absolutely fine gifting the opposition goals. It's been going on for months and it's turbo charged recently.

I don’t think we’ve defended as badly since that shit spell under hyppia. Even under dullard Houghton we were never shipping so many goals. I get the taking big risks but game management is also important

I know it's not our style, but we need to hit it long some of the time, it seems like the players aren't allowed to.
We have the time running down, it is nearly the end of the half, there is no point fannying around the back which could lead to another goal in our own net.

Where are all the people that said Bart is head a shoulders above steele now? Or even that Webster isn’t good enough, 2 games in a row Bart has gifted the other teams goals, and is he really a better shot stopper? From the games I’ve seen of him I’ve not seen anything to back this up.

I got in from going to a fire festival in the city and saw we were 1 goal up.
I was overjoyed, put the kettle on and had a celebratory piss.
When I tuned back in agian after that we were 2 - 1 down , ffs.

Nothing caicedo would have done about either of those. Was utterly terrible from the defence. The still image of our back 4 when Salah scores his first is Sunday league stuff
He would have taken the goal much better. Believe me. We are shocking without him.

Scary times ahead when we play Man City,

You can’t be blaming either of those goals on the midfield? Gross is literally one of our best players technically? The first goal Dunks pass is nowhere near either midfielder and the second one Gross has been passed the ball with the Liverpool player already in front of him

Leyton, E10.
Verbruggen was slow to move on the pen - not saying he would have saved it but he didn‘t read the run up.
Nothing wrong with the penalty tactics. Salah puts loads down the middle. If he’d dived early and Salah had gone down the middle we’d all be crying out for him to do his homework.

The pass out from the back was a howler tho.

We’ve been rumbled. It’s gonna be ugly.

I thought at the start of the game seeing the system with gross dropping as a 3rd centre back and igor wide left and Dunk right- this will confuse the scousers then when klipperty works it out we will be punished

there has to be an inquest into why there are so many individual errors. been undone by these time and again this season. feels like heresy to mention, but dunk really hasn’t looked that assured so far this season. does a lot of what he usually does (block vs marseille), but i’m seeing that rashness in his game that we haven’t seen for 7/8 years. why is that?

there is still something here for us. it’s just annoying that we’re liable to throw away whatever that is at any given moment
Re Dunk.
1. Not fully fit so not sharp.
2. Very, very exposed at times so his general decision making is off
