Lamptey has been excellent today, in defence and in attack. He’s certainly saved us a couple of times with his pace at the back and caused them problems going forwards.
We are missing Moises dynamism in midfield but that’s no surprise.
Lovely little deflection from Dunk for the goal. Welbeck not adding a lot. I’d be tempted to get Gilmour on for Danny and have just Ferguson up front.

Atmosphere seems very flat - might be ITV mics though

Certainly a different first half than a fortnight ago

Clearly missing Caicedo in my opinion.

Welbeck and Webster looking abit shakey in possession and a couple of instances where Gross could have looked up and played the better option

Not disastrous but could be a lot better

I'd say Welbeck is one of our most technically-gifted players. Some of his little flicks and first-time passes have been sublime.
I can’t remember seeing so many flairy flicks in a game as today? It’s like everyone’s a kid again and trying to impersonate their idols. Looking very silky!

Nope, I said this too. Like a graveyard.

Pretty impressive all things considered.

Gross and Webster not great, but then again Gross really shouldn’t be playing where he is… hopefully a certain Ecuadorean is watching and feeling a wee bit guilty… although it’s far more likely he’s sitting somewhere finalising personal terms… sigh.

Still, I guess it’s time to focus on the players who seemingly do want to be here.

I know it's Sunday and people might have bad-heads and want it to be peaceful, but Jesus the AMEX is a library
Not sure if you're there but i thought so on the telly too - very flat (Liverpool fans too bar first 10 or so minutes). I blame loads of fans not being in their s.t. seats - esp in the North

Newmarket.
Mitoma has certainly visually got something extra but I find it hard to believe that Solly isn't being closely watched by various teams.
He quietly and cleverly goes about his business, working hard always.
He's the ninja.

Ali Mac not looked very sharp (against his high standards).

Wele has had some nice layoffs but him and Fergie together doesn’t seem to work.

Bring one of the strikers off and get Gilmour in the anchor role
