It's been the same on DAZN. Matt Holland is the co-commentator and all he's talked about is the Brighton mistakes and how great Liverpool are. He seemed to ignore all the great chances we created and didn't even say much about our goal.

Anyway, I actually enjoyed the last 30 minutes of that half. We look really good going forward.

It physically pains me watching Dale Stephens slowly chasing shadows all game, I’m sick of watching sides taking the piss passing around him. His positioning is appalling and then he can’t catch up as he looks like he’s towing a caravan chasing back. He looks totally lost and out of his depth. Will always be a club hero for being part of that promotion side but he needs to be put out of his misery now.

Propper on the other hand has been excellent since his mistake.

I think what has become painfully obvious is his lack of pace. He isn't that old but he has gotten even slower i'm sure.
He can still pick a pass and make a tackle but Premier League midfielders just glide past him now. The only way he'd be effective is playing right in front (and i mean right in front) of the CBS but you can't play like that.

Gross is like an upgraded Darren Currie, both fantastic footballers, both would be playing a lot higher up the league if they had any pace.

Those mistakes aside its been a really even game and we've given a good account of ourselves, but that's the problem in the Premier League even more so when you are playing the champions, mistakes get punished.

Because that's where the interest is. We can be too precious sometimes. Nobody cares about Brighton or the like in World football- they care about the superstars.

Souness probably right though in that you have to be more pragmatic first ten/twenty minutes and play it a bit longer. However, we have stuck to it and have created some decent chances.
