I can't help but feel you need a cold shower followed by a reality check..

Why?

For having faith in our players that they’re better than those performances show? For wanting us to show a bit of ambition and progress in these games that are supposedly free hits? For wanting to be entertained and watch a football match, not a training routine? For not wanting to know the team selection, performance and result before the match starts?

No you’re alright thanks, I’d rather think positively and hope for something better than accept mediocrity.

Disappointing to not get a point but come on its Liverpool FFS.......top of the league, scoring goals for fun and have a squad 20 clubs in The Premier League are envious of. It seems we gave them a good game so we have made progress from last season. Who knows if we can become a Premier league " regular" we may one day be a threat in games against them. As it stands only Liverpool and City and Chelsea seem unbeatable at the moment which is very good progress for Premier league rookies.

If he wasn’t giving fouls against us so often then we would of had more momentum and the players/fans would be less frustrated. Not saying it would be 100% a point but it would help

As usual on here, people start looking for someone to blame when we don't win. Blame the ref, blame the manager, blame the players. Sometimes the opposition is just better than you and you lose. That's the nature of the game. And no - I'm not happy that we lost, but I can accept it in the great scheme of things. Still gonna be a great season.

I think you are the voice of the majority on here, it's how I feel but you can't blame people for striving for better results....thats football

Defensively I think we were excellent today, shame about the one lapse for the penalty.

I agree with you up to a point, we had a similar situation at Anfield, we caught them when they were not entirely at the races
I am not saying we should have started with attacking intent, you can't with Salah, mane and firminio on the pitch but in both games, especially after going 1 down we should have changed tactics, but it should have been done at half time in my opinion.
I think on our day we are now good enough and when you are lucky enough to play one of the top sides at home and they are below par following 2 defeats, injuries and players in different positions, then you have to change tactics and go for it.
If Liverpool were at full strength and playing at their best I would have totally understood.
Maybe we may have got stuffed but we still lost anyway, but just like at Anfield we certainly did not look like scoring so why not give it a go

Apologies to all if I've missed something somewhere, but does anybody on NSC know why no Bissouma today?
