Fabian has to get into them at half time. Its been slow pedestrian from us from start to finish. I have no complaints about the pen and if it was at other end we'd be fuming if it wasn't given for us. Velts clearly pushed ball away with his hand rather than falling onto the ball. Big team talk I hope and get them firing for 2nd half.

Poor half from us. Everton very organised, we’ve looked really short on ideas, but our tempo has been so slow.

Very harsh penalty the difference. I think we’ll see at least one change at half time.

He does love a stupid booking, there was nothing to gain from that challenge what’s so ever.

I'm one of Joel's biggest fans, but he does have this nasty habit of handling the ball when he's goes down during/after a challenge - but don't do it for a "soft" challenge, particularly in our own box.

Is the Amex pitch covered in treacle every time we have the ball? Painfully slow and we need to do things much quicker imho.....

That's my thinking. We just haven't shown any desire or passion as if we think we'll win by turning up!

Really poor half - wrong selection from Fab, you need tougher players like Rutter and Minteh against these bruisers. Dumb mistake from Veltman, we know he gets away with chicanery but that was too blatant for var to miss.

Stone wall pen! Thought we’d be shit today after 3 busy away games. Saw the line up and didn’t like it. There’s no energy or intensity. Players strolling around

We do have the touch of petulance and pri madonna ness after a few wins. We get ideas above our station. Gross never let this happen. Dunk is part of the problem not proactive enough to do anything about it on the pitch (He is quite a showy captain - here's hoping he gets a brilliant equaliser against this lot like last season though!).

This isn’t a tactic. Trying to get into half time level and then using your bench to hopefully win in the second is so defensive and naive. Where’s the bravery gone?
This season has been really ‘meh’.

The penalty came in a period where the ref completely lost his faculties. Missed a clear foul on a Brighton player, missed a clear foul on an Everton player, then got made to look weak by his VAR colleagues.
