Would imagine some sort of variation of a 442, with Buonanotte perhaps more on an inside right position and Adingra as an out and out winger.

I’d say Lamptey playing over Veltman is almost definitely for the overlap, which would imply Buonanotte as much more of an inside right position. Almost like a number 10, with lamptey exploiting the space that creates outside him

In this case it might work as he has Lamptey operating behind him.

If so it means Lamptey will overlap and defenders have to worry about Facu playing him in or cutting inside.

A lot of the time Buonanotte has been on the wing it's been Groß or Veltman at RB who don't exactly have blistering pace overlapping.

This is basically how it will look in defence Vs when we're attacking.

We've already seen De Zerbi deploy this kind of system when we are lacking full backs, a CB at full back who steps inside to become a CB when we're in possession.

Imagine he will tuck in more centrally when we have the ball as lamptey will be outside him as a RW
