How soon is now?
Corners were all going to be a challenge today. Evertons smallest player was taller than our tallest, until they bought Maupay on.Both teams had five shots on target. Interesting stats. Just how shit are our corners?

If that did affect us then we are severely weak mentally.I thought exactly the same. We nearly always play towards the south in the first half.
I wonder if turning us around did us mentally at the start
Has a whiff of 'smash n grab' doesn't it. Like a lower middle class BurnleyQuite some achievement to have 77% possession and lose 5-1
You'd expect our keeper to run full tilt bared teeth and floor an opposition striker?
ok.
They’re a challenge every game for us.Corners were all going to be a challenge today. Evertons smallest player was taller than our tallest, until they bought Maupay on.
Can a fit player not pull a hamstring then?
You can’t blame me for the managers brain fart team selectionHow’s this working out ? When was Potter 3-0 at half time against a bottom half team
Alex Scott is better on tv than in our squadWhat the game did show was our general lack of pace, especially when we have to rely on Gross at right back.
We really need a fully firing Lamptey back for games like this where we know a team is likely to counter attack us, or a signing in the summer to give us greater pace.
Buonotte isn’t ready yet.
Jury out on Steel I think. Has got caught a couple of times now on near post.
Mitoma needs a rest.
Undav isn’t a Premier League player.
On the plus side, Ferguson is back and without the world class Pickford, could have had a hat trick.
It shows we need greater strength in depth. We have numerous players out injured and it’s starting to show. These players will return at some point.
Games like this can be an eye opener and if we were undecided about a key signing, it may make us get the cheque book out. Eg Alex Scott.
What the players do need to do is react positively so we can have a strong end to the season.
This, 100%. Some of the suggestions as to why it happened and the 20/20 hindsight being displayed over tactics and team selection is hilarious. As you say a bad day at the office. Shit happens. Would be very Brighton after that to beat Arsenal and Newcastle away.Bad day at the office. It happens. Not gonna have a tantrum. Everton have had a great first half, & then we’re just chasing the game inevitably leaving ourselves open to counter attacking football (which is what they will have been prepping for all week).
Most of the booing was from the Everton fans as they had decent possession when the whistle went wasn’t it ?Just read on bbc report of the game:
A shambolic first period saw Brighton booed off at the interval,
I mean about 10 people must have booed ffs and probably out of frustration more than anyway
Last time RDZ's starting line up was heavily criticized we won 6-0. I'm not sure what was so different today (apart from the result, obviously).Or RDZ started with the wrong line up?
I wonder if turning us around did us mentally at the start, they got the early mind games and that helped them get the early goal
Bet it was Dyche's idea.I thought exactly the same. We nearly always play towards the south in the first half.
Should have been booked at the end as well - for his bodycharge on MacAllisterHas anyone managed to work out why Pickford wasn't booked? Every time they had a goal kick, he went off for a drink.
Dyche knows every trick in the book. And tactically he done a number on us today. Not the first time he's got the better of us as well. But it's fone now, we have to kove on and learn from itBet it was Dyche's idea.

This isn’t really how football works.Disasterous day. We won’t recover from that. We will lose at Arsenal, Man C and Newcastle. Had to win today and against Saints. Now last European place will go down to the final game and Villa at home will win it. So many errors today from everyone. Wrong line up, tired, complacent, error strewn. What a wasted opportunity- gutted
