I've never been a massive fan of his, he's done well in games but he's not a first teamer imo.

I’d say no - while he didn’t cover himself in glory, he got no protection from those around him

I'm clutching at straws but my only thought is he saw how knackered the players were after Man United in the FA Cup and thought the same today? It was a midweek game with a last minute penalty, it probably took a lot mentality but still....... we should be able to field the same team.
