And how on earth do we go four at the back but play no wide midfielders? How would that ever work?
We have two genuine wide players in the first team squad. TWO. Bizarre.

Disagree tactics cost us just a matter of time before DG scored Gross was never anywhere near him.Well beaten by a team more up for it than us and with better players. Oh well, onwards and upwards

Everton just seemed sharper, faster and more physical. Onto the next one. Comedy value from the stewards trying to pull out the fan who'd celebrated on the pitch at least.
This might be a naive question, but curious what the answer is. I noticed the Everton subs warming up on the pitch while the ball was in play. Play wasn't near where they were, but they were straying a good metre or more over the line without having to do so (loads of space behind the touchline) . Noticed Watford subs doing it season before last too. Is this allowed as long as they aren't interfering and are clearly in a bib or whatever so not an "active" player?

It’s a shocking issue. Although beyond Trossard I’m struggling with who the other is?
The answer would certainly lead to at least a forward that could cause a CB more than 3 seconds grief in a game and enough squad depth to have a left RB/WB when Solly can’t play. Same as was obvious all last season and still not fixed.
Yes, I noticed that too - if you just looked at the stats you might well guess the result would be a draw - didn't watch, but listening to the radio commentary, it sounded a relatively easy stroll for Everton.I haven't seen the game but the stats are very even, though we have the lions share of posession.
Looks like the only diffetence is that they score from their shots on target and we don't.
Just got back from a party 12.45 here, night all, will watch game in the morning.
I was actually thinking Lamptey and March. But you’re right- Trossard was a winger. We don’t seem to like playing him there.

So we have no left footed defenders in the club who can step up?

Thought Karbownik was supposed to be that player?
