I'm expecting a defeat.

Based off of how spawny palace have been against us the last few years combined with the ridiculous number of unavailable players we have anything other than defeat will feel like a positive. It's a shame because I'm confident a full/near full strength Brighton would batter them by a similar scoreline to that which Arsenal did.

As it is with no Mitoma, March, Enciso, Adingra, Fati, Pedro or even Milner we pose very little attacking threat and we've seen week in week out this season that we can't/aren't ever set up to defend. All adds up to defeat unfortunately.

That said, surely, surely, we're due an evening up of luck/karma. We've outplayed them for about 8 games in a row but never seem to get a win(yes, i know we did last season). Maybe this is the game when it switches and we smash and grab those pricks for a change.

I agree with much of what you say but we are likely to have both Pedro and Fati today for at least decent parts of the game.

Pedro is fit? That's fantastic, he's a proper game changer. Fati being fit is good too but he never played a full game when he was properly fit so I imagine if he plays it'll be the last 10 or so. Pedro fit though gives us a chance.

Add Barco to that. He has played in bigger games than Brighton vs Palace. The Copa Libertadores Final and the Boca-River Plate derby come to mind immediately. I think he’ll be superb sat in front of Pervis.

We may well see a team and formation like this pop up towards the end of February:

Mitoma————-Welbeck————Adingra
————————-Pedro————————
Barco—————-Gilmour—————Groß
Estupinan————-Dunk—————-JPvH
———————-Bart/Steele——————-

Ansu Fati played a fair bit of football and was building up to full games when he was injured.
He did play one 90 mins - in the first , home Europa League game v AEK Athens.

Hope he's available today.

Yes, he was getting better and better each time he played but he was mostly subbed on or off. My point was he isn't going toplay a full game today, he'll be a sub that comes on towards the end(I imagine).

Hopefully he'll remain fit for the rest of the season so that we can have a full complement(Solly excepted) of attacking players to choose from by the end of the month. It's just a shame that we can't bring them all to bare against Palace and they'll most likely slink off with more points than they otherwise would. The spawny dicks.

Simon hooper the ref. Craig Pawson on VAR. We're screwed.

Their new signings will win the game for them, adding fuel to the 'Tony should have backed De Zerbi' fire that is crackling along.

I take from that a far more positive outlook from RDZ he wanted more two midfielders he got one but wanted a right back he got one albeit it’s the same one as in midfield, however it might release Hinchelwood to play in his favourite position in addition we will be getting Mitoma and Adingra back in a couple of weeks and Fati might be able to make a contribution.
The most positive takeaway for me was the end of the interview where her said he wanted the players to think about how it felt during and imed after the Luton game how it felt a day, two days, three days and to bring that to the game today, it made the hairs on my neck stand up

Despite Pascal's quality and incredible energy that line-up is clearly lacking a DM.

Hooper has greatly improved in the last season or so. He has obviously been smart enough to steer well clear of Lee Mason's training courses.
