Worthing
I'm nervous as hell.

My feeling is tonight is all about the midfield and strikers taking their chances. Happy with the defence and keeper !!!

Will the front line turn up........Still think it'll be tight.

I can't work out whether to be extremely confident or terrified about tonight. Everything points to an Albion win, our form, their form, their record without Zaha. Unfortunately that's what worries me. The last time I was this confident going into a game against them was the play off second leg and that turned out horrifically. That and the 5-0 have mentally scarred me, those horror shows are always lurking in the back of my mind...

So with everything shaping up for a comfortable Albion win those monsters are lumbering every closer to the forefront of my thinking.

Confident or terrified? God knows!

There is a pretty major thing that doesn't point to an Albion win. This season, we have consistently struggled against sides who've parked the bus/played pretty defensively negatively. Our record against the top 9 is better than against the bottom 11.

Don't believe for a second that Wilf is out for tonight , frankly it doesn't even matter , another pocket warmer for Veltman and a 2 nil win goodnight , thanks for coming .

Veltman is going to quickly become a legend if he becomes our man mark specialist and marshals Zaha out the game as he did Grealish.

For me it's all about if we can score in the first 30 mins. We will have a period of dominance in that time and create a few chances. Take one, and we'll win comfortably.

If we go in to half time 0-0, a bit of apprehension will set in and it could go either way.

Agree whole-heartedly.

I'm nervous as hell already, and we're 8 hours from kick off

Plus I have the added bonus of watching the game with my nine year old son, who will no doubt say at various times "Stop swearing!"....."Why are you getting so angry?"....."I don't want to support Brighton anymore!"

Correct. Under Potter, so far as a general rule we’ve performed very well against top half teams. Yet failed to beat any of the teams “we expect to”.

I do believe this is a statistical anomaly though. Hopefully we can break it tonight.

Hmmmm.

So that means my confidence level should lower. Which in turn means my fear of being mightily sucker punched a la 2013 or just plain humiliated a la 2002 increases. Which means we might actually win?

They will sit back, park the bus driver's arse in the changing room as per.

We have a better goalie, better defence and better midfield. Our strike force needs to come good tonight. 50/50 whether Haha plays. Confident that Veltman will take care of him if he does.

Without the crowd, think it's easier for the players to treat it as any other game, which is good for us. We do treat all games the same, play our high energy, pressing game and go for it.

Think we'll scrape a 1-0.

Really hoping to see a surprise inclusion of Jose Izquierdo on the bench tonight

And to break that mode, we need to SCORE - ideally within the first 30 minutes.

Then Palace will need to try and attack a bit, which should hopefully mean the bus at least gets its engine switched on, even if remains largely stationary. Potentially opening things up a bit more for us to score again.

That’s my hope for how tonight goes.

My nagging worry is being stuck at 0-0 for an hour or more, with us having 70% possession but unable to find a way past.

My absolute nightmare is that going even further, and Palace nicking a late winner totally against the run of play.

If I were with my brother this evening, I would be saying semi-jokingly - but only semi - "It's got shock away win written all over it".
If it goes to form we should win, but it's not as simple as that!!!!!

Keep the good form going - eventually some goals will come. It is much easier to find goals when you are not looking over your shoulder at the relegation spots.

Lock, load and buckle in, Swanny, this one makes your beloved Hammarby v Djurgården look like a kindergarten fixture, or as Beach Slut would say: “So excited”

Lmao... from what I'm able to gather pretty much every derby in 21th century Premier League is a kindergarten fixture, in a lot of ways, compared to most derbies elsewhere in Europe. But yeah for me its definitely more interesting (since I care about the outcome) than eg Hammarby - Djurgården.
