If the template of how to play against us was not already common knowledge it is now. Expect more of the same at the weekend. It looks like it may not be the cruise to the end of the season it might have been.

After sleeping on it the one thing that is bugging me more than anything else is that we are apparently paying Lallana top wages, he is great around the dressing room and an all round good guy who has had very limited time on pitch due to his injury problems but when he does play he fluffs our best chances. An England International should not be lashing at shots like a nervous rookie. Yes he’s not match fit but that is no excuse for a complete lack of composure with his shooting.

I half expected to lose last night, it’s just the way of things but those two Lallana misses have pissed me off more than anything else

Sadly I think we are now set up for a defeat by Big Sam, the players confidence will be completely shot after last night and we are facing a team who will be very well organised and knowing they are in the last chance saloon. They will not let us play and we already know how we do against strugglers with an appetite for closing us down and hitting us on the break.

Last night has left us right in the relegation mix. Can anyone see Fulham losing to Palace?

Hard luck tonight chaps :amex: The place where dreams come true, The best team lost pure and simple, I would've been chuffed had we'd held out for the point
especially with those stats! I've said to work collegues that Bha are way too good to go down and after tonight perfomance shows that.
Unlucky BHA but the bragging rights are ours again:amex:

Not really much to boast about, is there? The stats over the two games are just comical, and 2 touches in the opposition box over 90 minutes last night is an absolute joke - we're not Man City ffs. Yeah you scored with both of them but on any other day no way both of them find the back of the net. Both class finishes though, I'll give you that. Something we can only dream of right now.

Of course not. And I'd have more confidence of us getting something on Saturday if we were playing one of the top 6. You just know we won't be able to break down West Brom, especially after last night.

That was a disgraceful result. Shocking. Players will lose all confidence they had built up in the last 6 games, and will be nervous, shakey and will ultimately lose against WBA in Saturday. Fulham will beat this lot as well. That was a very, very troubling result. We are in deep trouble now. This result will cost us our place in this league.

What was he thinking bringing on Ali J? Why does he still get a chance? Pathetic management last night. Dreadful.

I don't do kneejerk. That game was frustrating but I am happy with 13 points from 9 games. We now have to pick ourselves up and go again. The funny thing is I don't expect us to win against West Brom If we go on another 6 games undefeated with a couple of wins I will be happy. We have to look on the bright side or we will depressed.

Solid at the back, one of the best parody accounts on NSC. Almost four years of "we're going down" and "this is a must win game" while carrying that user name. Very impressive endurance.

Potter sycophants around tonight?

Tee hee.

:goal:

Imagine staying away while the team goes on a great run just to show up with a "tee hee" once losing a derby in a grim way. Sickening and defo ban-worthy if you ask me. Coming on to a Brighton forum just once in a while to mock Brighton fans when there is a bad result, get a life.

Not on hear to gloat, but so much of the play but the palace keeper only really made 1 save and one I would expected him to make.

My issue if I were a Brighton fan would be that substitution, the Iranian guy, I mean that was poor, what was that about? You seemed to lose the middle of the park after that and the game became a bit easier.

With Brighton ripping palace a new one in the midfield, it seemed a very strange sub... I would be seething.

You’re not wrong. Gross was pulling all the strings. Also agree that your keeper had very little to do. The possession stats are a good reflex of the game but shots are not. Most of them were woeful and unthreatening.

Don't tell me you are that sad you actually went through 4 years of posts? Is that possible?

Nah not all of them, just used some keywords while searching. Thinking about reading them all though, its hilarious. Every week, "this is a must win game", "we're going down", "definitely getting relegated". All while "Solid at the back". Its brilliant and now when I think about it, I might just go back and read all of your posts.

But as plenty have told you previously... you worry too much. Yes, there is a risk that the team gets relegated, true, but its not as certain as you think it is (every week) - so try to relax a little and dont assume the worst, this Brighton side got an interesting way of making us disappointed when we least expect it and produce great results when they look very far away.

Yes, it was sub that worked poorly and in hindsight shouldnt have been done.

But "what it was about" is quite simple - Potter expected CP to defend very low for the last 10 minutes and Ali J is a one trick pony: he is great at shooting from distance. If there is a good shooting opportunity from just outside the box, there is no Brighton player that I would rather see getting the opportunity than Ali. Unfortunately that is all there is to him. Whether Potter instructed him to **** around on the sidelines or if it was his own initiative to become the saviour of the day is difficult to tell, but either which way it really didnt work out.

For all our huff and puff did we trouble the Palace keeper at all, I can’t recall a good save at all.

Personally, I don't have to re-look at any of your posts. When I see your username I know it'll be "I've shat the bed again mum!". We all need a good vent when things go wrong but occasionally you could look on the brightside or at least have a more balanced opinion? It would be more interesting to look through your posts to find ANY positivity but I'm not that interested. Chin up fella, the results are poor but the ride is fun.
