27.9% possession in that first half according to the SkySports app. Must be a record low for us in the last 5+ years?
The only stats that really matters is goals for and those 3 points to us. Notts Forest had only about 38 per cent possession against us and scored 7 goals. Even though chelsea had more possession tonight they didn't look like scoring. Did they even have a shot on target tonight.

Just need everyone to get home safely now and avoid a few Chelsea muppets who might hang around and fancy their chances.

Then again looking at the away end, most of them will be probably be approaching East Croydon by now.

Absolutely fantastic performance from the team!

During a week where the whole family caught a stomach bug (it hasn't been pretty), the Albion really has been the only light. I suppose I should feel euphoria right now, but it's just gratitude, pure and simple.

Big shoutout to Minteh. Not only for his refreshing Encisoesque attitude that "I'm going to bloody well score now" every time he gets the ball (with the difference that he actually does), but his defensive work really has improved a hundredfold since joining. Was really worried his first games that he wouldn't be up to snuff defensively, looked completely lost, but he or someone else has drilled him hard since then.

Ah, sweet relief.

Didn’t Liverpool beat us in consecutive games this season - league cup and premier league ???
Uncommon, but not impossible. :)

But we were seriously great tonight. They never laid a glove on us.

Wow ! The financial clout that is Chelski
and Hove Albion, yet they get absolutely stuffed, There is a god !
Still, they've got the world's most expensive keeper.

Wonder where he is at the moment 🤔

Oooh... the luxury!

After the seven goal defeat. The players said there was a lot of honesty in the dressing room then followed a great training week. It looks like our worst result may prove to be a turning point to change our season from being a bit meh! To doing something special again. Really hope so
They were saying on the telly that Hurzeler took his team tactics sheet for Forest out on the training ground and literally set fire to it.

One shot right at the end that was barely noticed. Bart did well to keep it out with an awkward leg.

"It was great. It is a big three points. It has been a massive couple of weeks for us after a horrible result and it was important we reacted in the right way."

On Kaoru Mitoma's goal:

"When I saw his first touch…I’ve seen him do it countless times in training. It was impeccable. It was a thing of beauty. It was amazing. Great goal."

"He has a great first touch. I’ve seen it in training all the time and he has a way of evading a defender with his first touch. It is not through luck, he has worked on it his whole career. I am so pleased we got the win today. It puts us on the right track to finish the season strongly."

On bouncing back:

"There was obviously something wrong against Forest. We had to look at ourselves and have some honest conversations in the dressing room and with the manager. It was something we could not just gloss over. We had to have that feeling of what it was like and carry it with us."
