Our defence looking more energised with Barco at LB and Igor in CB.

Much better today, more like the Brighton of last season, but we keep to trying to score the perfect goal, just have a shot at goal!

Oof.

Suddenly very end-to-end. Couple or decent chances for us. But we need to not get caught out at the back.

Our passing and touches simply not good enough. We also lack pace. Oh, and money! We didn’t spend £1bn…

They didn't screw up. They just weren't held to ransom by Kudus, and lost out on Palmer to Chelsea who we all know pay mad money in wages and refused to simply add players for the sake of it. The idea they just thought "na we will be fine" is ridiculous.
But we kept getting told that if one option fails, they have another lined up - clearly bollocks, no? The January window was dreadful after a lacklustre summer one

Zero quality cover for Velts and Estupinan. In addition we were left with no DM pivot with pace, power and quality.

The Starlizard data literally has extensive lists for every role. Kudus would be one of many, the club wouldn’t have spent their summer with tunnel vision for Palmer, Kudus or bust.
