Pleasing on the eye, frustrating on the eye. By about the 80th minute I was ready to take 0-0. Maupay just no confidence in front of goal. Welbeck needs to stay fit. I'd have picked Sanchez for no other reason than those Burnley corners.

It's now got to the stage where the only Brighton players I enjoy watching are Lamptey and Lallana. The rest are woefully short of what is required at this level.

Dunk? Webster? Bissouma? Maupay? Trossard? White? Woefully short? Did you watch that dross from Burnley?

Disappointing, very disappointing

But who’s to blame?

I don’t see it’s potters fault, 10 shots (7 on target) and the subs show we went for it.

Out strikers and midfielders need to take responsibly here and put it right, quickly

I don’t know is the honest answer. Potter got it fairly right today. We missed March for sure, much as Burn does his best. Maybe Gross should have come off earlier. We just need to work on our finishing, a bit of luck and a purple patch. It’s frustrating tonight but I’m convinced we’ll be ok and also it’s much better than playing shite or defensive...

It would be disrespectful of Burnley to moan and moan that we didn't put the game to bed. They came for a point and they defended very well. Mee and Pope particularly good, but, from them it was the type of team performance that Chris Hughton would have been very happy with when trying to lift us out of a rut. Dyche has the same approach and his team worked very hard tonight, mostly made sure that we were playing in front of them and defended extremely well.

We knocked it around very well. Welbeck looked promising, but we missed Solly as an attacking option. BDB did his best, but doesn't have the ability to pull things out of shape. Eight games in, very frustrating home record, but its a young team that needs to bed in. When it eventually comes, I think that it will stay.

I'd like to think I'm relatively reasonable but I'm edging towards a change of manager being needed. As you say we don't look great either up front or at the back, we play some lovely stuff but we can't keep firing blanks, it points to poor management to be honest. I firmly believe we have more than enough personnel wise but the manager isn't getting the best out of them for me.

Potter hasn’t got a poker face. In the last few matches he looks really sad mid match, I genuinely feel sorry for him. Much of week’s work coaching up in flames. Nice passing, but a lack of killer instinct.

So let’s get this straight.

You would bin the manager who kept us UP last season. And swap him for a manager who took one of the 3 teams DOWN last season.

What a ridiculous idea. Thank goodness the club have more sense then that.

Missed March at LWB tonight. Need Dunk back too. However, have we ever dominated a game as much as that in the Premier League in terms of the opposition not looking like scoring. Very frustrating. Only consolidation is that I think Burnley are worse than us.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Seeing the quality of Lamptey, Lallana, Welbeck and Veltman, you can see how much better the rest of the team could be.

It's a process and we're only half way through it.

Like it or not, that is how the neutrals see it.

You always know what you will get with Brighton - they passed 100 Premier League shots for the season in this game. Only Liverpool have had more. They rank sixth in the league for possession too.

The neutrals and a lot of our fans will also see we're only a striker's hot feet run of form into scoring some goals and winning some games. Everything else is in place. Clean sheet - check. Dominating - check. Creating chances - check. Just the one thing to fix then.

I know everyone will talk about the pretty football meme but we were more direct tonight.

Nice, faster one touch football in final third.
Welbeck nice addition. Needs more match sharpness.

Lallana absolutely gdlk.
Lamptey quality and interesting role with some freedom it seems.
Biss taking direct free kicks is good.

Frustrating, obviously, but I am not disheartened.
The project is progressing.

Looking forward to all the Potter haters (with very short memories) coming out of the woodwork.

Biss is awful at free kicks and shooting in general bar Everton

Totally agree. If we were playing badly I'd be very worried. We're not, we're just not getting the breaks. Definitely some question marks around team selection/sustitutions/tactics but we're a decent, entertaing side who just need a bit of luck.

Nah, you make your own luck. Us being down the bottom is nothing to do with luck.

Good to watch again but absolutely gash upfront. I have every faith in Potter for the way he has us playing but.... do we start blaming the manager or players for the lack of cutting edge? I'm not sure what more he (Potter) can do, were executing his style of play but can't put chances away.

Frustrating to watch again but I feel the players need to take some responsibility for being shithouse upfront.
