One other thought to hang onto. When Boro came we were crap and lost 0-3. When Burnley came 3 months later we were immense and they scraped a 2-2. I like the trend.

Thats my point, dont mind tough tackling etc, but elbows and stamps (and it wasnt just Barton) is wrong imo.

Excellent performance by the lads quality of the final ball cost us today and out so much into first 70min ran out of steam. Credit to Burnley for capitalising but we will be kicking ourselves for not winning that.

Dyche saying the disallowed goal cost them 3 points and Knockeart challenge more of a red card than Barton! What a bell end. Ward didn't even appeal to the ref when AT won the ball. Lost for words
He's an absolute ****, but he knows what he is doing with that - he knows when the ref isnt looking.

Correct. Burnley were pretty poor whilst we were attacking them and we looked like creating chances every time we went forward....then we sat back against a very powerful attacking force....result = (two) goal.

I fear Sir Albion is right, but we are still in with, lets say, an outside chance of auto promotion.
Anything can happen in the play offs.
But I do agree with you that we cannot defend a small lead in the last 10 mins or so.

He also said Barton did nothing wrong and Anthony k should have been in trouble. Nothing wrong with knock tackle and Barton should have seen red at least once. Surely he gets a subsequent ban but that is too late for us.

If hughton insists on putting a midfielder on to sure up the defence, Rohan ince was a much better option than sidwell. We shouldn't have let him go out on loan. Sidwell seems to make us a far weaker side.

Ince came on against Derby in that position and threw the game away for us. A league one player IMO. We only have two central midfielders at the club that are championship standard and they start week in week out. Need to strengthen there in the summer and clear the dead wood whether we go up or not

I would have taken a point before the game. Barton should have been sent off but then again they scored 3 goals today. Whether we deserved it on the whole or not is another thing. We are still in for auto's, to suggest otherwise is extremely pessimistic. We can still make it or go for the play offs.
