We have to bear in mind City are on the back of a terrifice 3-1 away win at M'boro. However, I have a feeling that we are going to go mental tonight. Everything will go our way; luck will be on our side and we will get a few generous refereeing decisions. Call it a hunch. And there will a surprise scorer - Bridcutt. I'm going for a clean sheet too: 4-0.

On paper their loan signings suggest a better team than results suggest. Mowbray says Middlesbrough changed their style to be more direct, doubtless because City sat back, and this seems to have back-fired on them, from what from their perspective must have been a terrible unexpected home defeat by two clear goals (one late though).

This means Albion will have to be patient which quietens the crowd and gets everybody frustrated.

I predict an unchanged side. Gus will not want to risk any injury doubts on a slippery pitch. Despite not being quite at the races last match Hammond may start again but I think he will have to be a bit more aware of what is going on*, and Barnes will have to get his game together or else he will end up getting dropped. (* a sudden backpass received is meant to unsettle the opposing defence and quick ball is in order.)

I expect a display like Ipswich from City.

On 6 November 2012, following City's 2-0 loss to Birmingham City, McInnes gave £300 to 17 stranded fans who had their minibus tyres slashed outside St Andrew's. He said: "We couldn't believe what had happened and wanted to help out. It looked like they would have a three-hour wait for roadside recovery and there were a number of young lads within the group. Given the fact there were 17 of them, we couldn't get them on the team bus, so everyone in the squad got together to help out and give them an option of catching the train or taxis home. The fans turned up in numbers again last night and unfortunately we weren't able to give them much to cheer about. It got even worse for this group and it was only right that we assisted. I'm glad to hear they returned OK

Player to watch: Neil Danns who looked like he could be a bit of a nuisance for Leicester last year. He is fast and seems to be aware of what is going on. He might be assigned to watch Buckley.

Referee has not yet awarded a penalty this season.

No sendings off at Amex yet (this season)..Maybe Danns could do a repeat performance .. Either way Bristol seem to score a fair few when in the mood .. Problem is other end .. I'm going 3/2

Head-to-head
• These clubs have been playing each other since 1923, and there is only one win between them; Bristol City have won 28 and Brighton 27, with 16 of the 71 competitive matches finishing all square.
• Both clubs have scored 89 league and cup goals against each other.
• Brighton are looking for a third straight win over the Robins, having completed the Championship double last season, with a 3-0 aggregate score.
Brighton
• Seated two places and one point outset the top six, Brighton will make a second attempt in four days to capture their 1,000th home league win.
• Gus Poyet's Seagulls have not been beaten in November, and are hoping to stretch their undefeated sequence to seven games (W2, D4).
• There has not been more than a single goal between themselves and their opponents in any of their last 13 Championship matches, and they boast the joint tightest defence in the division, alongside Leicester, having conceded just 16 goals in 18 games.
Bristol City
• Only Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich and Peterborough lie beneath Bristol City in the Championship table, after the Robins pulled off a shock 3-1 away win over Middlesbrough on Saturday to end their 11-match winless sequence.
• Derek McInnes' men have conceded seven fewer goals on their Championship travels, than they have at Ashton Gate.
• The Robins are the only league club in England without a clean sheet, and an unmatched nine of the 35 Championship goals they've let in have been shipped in the last 10 minutes.

Possibly the worst match I have ever been to. Quietest crowd as well.

well now you've done the thread we will doubtless draw 3-3 after being 3-0 up with 27 seconds left.........dear Ash will miss seven penalties and the cross bar at the south end will need to be replaced at half time due to stress fractures from the constant bombardment from our boys...!!! nice one...!!

That sounds about right :)

I reckon the crowd will be more sparse at kick off than it usually is at 85 minutes. The highways agency have played a blinder today!
