Did huge numbers of STH’s not attend?
Huge. It was shocking tbh. I get it f***ed some people but those who just couldn’t be arsed to sort a cab or whatever let us down in my book. As I say, I’ll get some shit for this opinion, but there was way too many empty seats and it made the atmosphere pretty bad and didn’t help the team.Did huge numbers of STH’s not attend?
Maybe 5-6000 perhaps ?Did huge numbers of STH’s not attend?
Summed up perfectly mateGreat night. Fully deserved victory, local lad and academy boy gets winning goal, Igor was immense, De Zerbi is a tactical nutcase, Groß is a genius and Palace were booed off the pitch by their ‘best fans in the country’.

Yeh maybe - and as I say, there are exceptions. But if you wanted to make it to the game you could have - that’s absolutely the bottom line.I wonder if the ASLEF strike was a disaster for the hordes who come by train from Littlehampton, Worthing, Seaford, Eastbourne? In fairness to them.
Give it a rest mate. I’ve just got back to London, it took me three hours to drive down, car crash on a horribly busy A23 because of the trains. I’m glad I went but totally understand why lots of people that probably travel much further than you do for home games didn’t want to endure a horrible journey and very late night home. Stop being so precious.Huge. It was shocking tbh. I get it f***ed some people but those who just couldn’t be arsed to sort a cab or whatever let us down in my book. It’s not precious - I travelled about 7 hours today thanks. Was just disappointed with the amount of no shows. Fair play for coming but it’s not even midnight - nothing compared to midweek away games at Stoke on a Tuesday etc..!Give it a rest mate. Drive to somewhere and cab it inBut how would the Eastbourne and Littlehampton supporters who always come by train get to the stadium, park? A midweek game makes it worse, at the weekend people have more time for more complicated methods.
This was sealed the moment Whelan announced yet another strike.
He’s not thinking properly. It’s ridiculous to expect everyone to turn up, on a midweek evening, when one of the largest methods of transport is completely removed for anyone travelling significant distance. I thought the turnout was pretty good tbh.But how would the Eastbourne and Littlehampton supporters who always come by train get to the stadium, park? Loads of pies left at the end though, which was nice!Huge. It was shocking tbh. I get it f***ed some people but those who just couldn’t be arsed to sort a cab or whatever let us down in my book. Around that time he did have a bit of a 'getting booked in a minute' look about him. He does have a bit of a hot head that boy. That was a ridiculous booking. Obviously it was for dissent but I would suggest players have done the same at least 500 times this season without being booked. The lack of consistency is mind boggling. Either book them all - which is fine - or don't. You can't suddenly decide that that is dissent.and everything else isn't.

You haven’t read other people’s posts before jumping in to condemn them. Quite a few said there was illness, there are never as many kids on a school night, THPP said he got as far a Vogue Gyratory and all the buses were full, not even stopping. Others travel in from all over the country including from Wales, who can’t make midweek games.Yeh maybe - and as I say, there are exceptions. As I say, some with genuine reasons, many who couldn’t be arsed - just my opinion - was a poor turnout considering.Cabs are so expensive these days, fare based on the higher of time and distance, stuck in Falmer jams that’s a big bill x 2. Uber fares are based on dynamic pricing, the sky’s the limit at a busy time.

Just accept that on a cold winter’s night, some people are going to watch it on tv.
You mentioned Withdean on another post, well, I remember how the crowds shrank when it was raining, or games moved to Friday nights in Decembe.
Things are looking up!!
So delighted for Jack H tonight, a great moment for the lad
