As has been said, 2-2 is a reasonable return against a side such as Blackpool with their recent Prem experience. If nothing else it will be a lesson that not all games will be a stroll in the park and hopefully it will strengthen our team for future games. What piss*d me off was that the mrs is from Blackpool and at 2-0 she predicted 2-2 'because Blackpool always come back right at the end'! Had to bite my tongue hard when Phillips scored their second, I can tell you!

just back....10 from a possible 12 is good, but still hard not to be upset about losing a 2 goal lead at home slip.

We will never know what the score might have been if Noone stayed on the pitch, but i suspect (unless injured or totally knackered), Poyet may reflect on the decision to take off the best player on the pitch today as a mistake.

Lua Lua was good when on the ball, but Noone tracked back and defended, it looked like Painter was more exposed with Noone gone.

we live and learn the lessons and move on.... 10 points in the bag, bring on sunderland and then the potentially more beatable Peterborough.

Just got back, disappointing to lose the lead, especially as there was a ten minute period after our 2nd when we absolutely bossed it, and a 3rd looked highly possible. Think we still played well, though Blackpool seemed to enjoy the width of the pitch going forward (still struggled against Noone though when defending). Not sure why we stopped playing it to feet in the last 20 mins or so, though they made it hard for us, and Dunk was losing confidence playing it on the floor I noticed. Also a bit perplexed as this is the 3rd game now I've seen this season where we don't ever seem to do well at throw-ins; it's odd, when it's ours, we don't seem to contest them very well. At one point today we had a throw right by our own corner flag, we sent up one player, then sent up 3... like I said, odd.

Thought Blackpool played well, and they rescued that game by not letting their heads down, when frankly we were good enough to make them think they should.

10 from 12? Bloody pleased with that.

Hard to be upset about the result given our start to the Season. KLL has not stepped up and should be dropped until he gives Gus a reason to play him.

Feels like 2 points dropped tbh. Should have put the game to bed. I thought we were superb at times.

thought Blackpool were awful we should have been 3 or 4 up before we gave Phillips his chance. Clearly they are a one man team and if they are play offs or above will be very surprised if that is how they play every week. Honestly feels like a defeat because we were so much in control but 10 from 12 isn't really that bad!

great game both teams played well but it does feel like we let it slip still before the game I would have settled for 2-2

Ahhh the old Albion habit of conceding very late on, don't want that to continue.

I would rather have that sort of performance at this stage of the season so Gus can get the tactics right and decide if further transfers are required before the season properly unfolds. Good to learn lessons about the standards required in the Championship without too much collateral damage. Phillips is still a shrewd opponent and should be a handful.
