Man City wanted to leave when the 3rd went in but had a mate with me who wanted to stay till the end 🤦😫 today got my daughter mrs and nephew coming so no doubt it will be stay till the end today, got a Newcastle ticket and travel going in my own so if they go 2 up I can leave , as far as I’m concerned the season is over zero motivation

Fully expecting a performance of neat passing in our own 18 yard box that falls apart when we get near their box, and a defence limper than lettuce resulting in a deserved drubbing, and expecting a referee/var decision that results in a thread about the ref where people repeatedly note 'it wouldn't change the result but...' and still someone will moan that the thread always appears when we lose and it doesn't excuse our loss.
Fixed that for you

I don't even know what I feel about this game. Pressure is off...or is it on? Not sure, nothing to play for but stopping the rot is desperately needed. Who knows.

Crickey, there are going to be enormous gaps in the home stands today. Unless the tourists and Villa have bought ‘em. I know so many STHs not coming today. Saying that gives non STHs like me a chance to see so not all bad!

The north stand concourse less than 90mins before KO. I’ve never ever seen it so empty for a PL afternoon KO. You can even get wi fi reception!

9pm kick off here, I will give the first half a chance and if we are 'disappointing', then I will be asleep for the second half and expect to wake to find my breakfast ready !!

From the BBC site

Today could be the day Aston Villa finally return to the top tier of European football.
They won the European Cup in 1981-82 so have plenty of continental pedigree, but haven't played in the European Cup/Champions League since 1983.
But, a win over Brighton - combined with a Tottenham loss to Liverpool a little later - will mean Aston Villa will confirm a top-four finish this afternoon.
Birmingham is poised to party.

Come on Albion let’s piss on this party, some revenge served cold for THAT last minute Grealish goal in the Championship!
