Welbeck did and went off for Undav. 3 shots all game. Just not on it today. It happens, our type of football needs it all to work. Silly from Dunk for their pen, but 100% a pen against Solly. Shocking from VAR not to at least refer that.

It seemed to me that too many of our players were off it today. MacAllister uncharacteristically sloppy with their second goal, and once you are behind against an Emery team you are always going to struggle. Missed Mitoma today.
Apart from his miss, thought Colwill played well. Other than that we were off it.
Having said all that the ‘penalty’ was just an incredible failure of VAR.
would we have taken 21 points from 14 at the start of the season before the Workd Cup break? Probably yes.

the ref certainly didn't seem to have a clue about the blatant time wasting so understanding the simple concept of 'minimum' was probably a step to far.

Refs need to be encouraged to give indirect free kicks for time-wasting or reverse the throw-in (ie call it a foul throw). It would be the easiest solution within the Laws.

Anytime you see a club who can’t win away, you know they’re going to niggle us with 14 or 15 players (3 or 4 wearing black these days not just 1, assuming they also full kit it in the VAR booth) all pissing about instead of playing any football. 8 or 9 yellows seemed light and then there was the Pen. Disgraceful.

Also I still think I could do better than Undav in a Brighton shirt. At least our young Paraguayan was running and closing people down even if he didn’t do much else. Desperately need a forward but watch us sign a centre back again.

Being there, atmosphere was good first half hour or so. Died off as we continued to create nothing and villa disrupted the match. Can't blame the fans - it was turgid on the pitch. Would've died off anywhere

No he said they were off Monday but back on the 28th (I think) of Nov, only two weeks anyway, then back in training.
