Alzate will be on the left surey- makes sense why he played there on Weds.

I must admit, it is nice that Potter seems to have stopped endlessly tinkering. I think we're seeing the benefits of a more settled line up.

Surely:

————————Sanchez———————
———-White——Dunk——Burn———-
Veltman—Bissouma—Groß——Alzate
———————-Mac Allister—————-
———Trossard————Maupay———-

Joel is tasked with keeping Sockboy quiet?

Grealish is gonna learn a lesson tonight if so. Crying on the pitch will be for real.

This is going to be an interesting test. All about how we handle Grealish really.
Feels like we've really turned a corner in 2021, but we'll need to be near our best tonight to get a result.

Pretty much as expected and the side I’’d have picked except I would have had Lallana in for Gross.

I am surprised Potter hasn’t done that as well as Lallana looked so good on Wednesday and Gross looked knackered.

Nice break until the next game so guess he is thinking plenty of time for Groß to rest up and with form he is in has to start

Yes, agreed. Partly why I chose it on the prediction thread :)

But mostly because it just makes sense. I think Potter has his best team in his head now and will play it until either injury or suspension kick in or teams really start to pick it apart.

I thought Groß might be rested as he looked a bit shot on Weds......but other than that wasn’t overly difficult to work it out. Be interesting to see what he does when Lamptey is fit as Veltman has been excellent. Impact sub to start with I suspect.

Isn't this pretty much what people were expecting?

Yeh - just had it confirmed from someone there so thought I’d share it and me and Bladders have an ongoing rivalry of being ITK - shrug back.

Ps - I can’t help that it was what we were ‘expecting’ can I...

Villa team seriously strong - gonna be tough to get anything. Would take a point now for sure.

Gross should only play a half or so, poor lad looked totally knackered after the Leicester cup game

Remember at Villa Park, Veltman came on and did well against Lord Sockboy. Riled him up. He’s a good defender one on one. I hope and think he’ll do well again tonight.
