Anyone who is seriously disappointed needs to give their heads a big wobble.
This is our first foray into Europe.
Not only did we top our group, but we got probably the hardest draw in the knockout stage.
The 4 - 0 flattered Roma.
We have dominated them in the home leg, and would clearly been pushed to score 4...maybe with Mitoma and Pedro?
Who knows.
If someone had told me a year ago, that we'd be beating Roma at the Amex, I'd have pissed myself laughing.
For all the entitled lot on here....get a grip and soak up how far we've come.
Lose to Roma away, yet win at home....and still moaning?
Jeez.
Indeed - good post.

I would have liked to receive my free-drink though.

Burnt out like the garden fireworks I buy from Aldi.

Fun why it last lasted, gave ourselves too much to do in the first leg. Further highlights how much of a loss Pedro is.

Taking some positives, we will have learnt what we need to do differently next time, there will be a next time I'm sure. Lots of experience for the players. Lots of our youngsters experiencing Europe at an early age.
We can now focus on securing Europe for next season, with a much stronger team than we've had for months.

Shame we're out of course but we gave it a good go! Had many chances this game but just not clinical enough. Needed our wingers (enciso and adingra) to do more in both games

Roma with a nice cushion just had to turn up.
We knick a goal back, they don't care as they are still in control.
Damage done in first leg where we should have been more cautious.
And we don't shoot anymore.

Totally agree about Pedro. Goals, pace down the middle, direct, effective, from day one he gave something different.

Whilst the dumb set up and even dumber defending in Rome gave an insurmountable mountain to climb.

The focus is now on the league.

I really want us to qualify for Europe again as we have a good chance of doing so.
