Brighton factually.....
All so predictable, I left as Trossard was racing through…..

As I’ve said before I’m done with this season and it seems the players and manager is.

What’s happened to Pascal he was scoring at the start of the season, much further forward and would have a dig.

Disappointed

Arsenal schooled us, also controversial here, best fans so far this season away here.

It’s a 3 horse title race for a reason tbh. All 3 have top players suited to the way they play. Arsenal were far more athletic, strong and speedy across the pitch in general. Saliba and Gabriel are top quality CBs. They played really well and deserve 3 points. They shut out Man City fairly comfortably a week or so back and beat Liverpool as well in February. They have a CM who cost more than our starting 11. Realistically they are probably the worst of the top 3 for us to play based on how we play and how well drilled they are with all there obvious strengths.
I agree with those points and especially the last one. Just closed down the space we like to play in. A very well drilled, capable and particularly, motivated team.

Didn’t even have the strength to beat the first defender from his corners. He’s looked knackered for weeks and is being overplayed. I get the impression that RDZ can’t implement his plan without him. Give the guy a rest and come up with a new plan - perhaps a midfielder playing forward a tad.
So why didn't he let Pervis take them.. he took them for one game and looked 100% better.

We were certainly in it first half but Arsenal’s intensity at closing down the gaps in midfield was so impressive. I haven’t seen a team play against us with that level of intensity for over a year.
They are the best team I’ve seen us play against this season. Better than Liverpool and Man City.
I actually thought we did ok for the first 60/65 minutes but they just gave us no space.
Yes, we are off last season’s standards but margins are small at this level and what I saw throughout was that we kept playing ‘our way’.
I really struggle with the mentality of some of our so called fans who turn on the team when they struggle against a team put together with significantly higher resources.
I’ll be at Burnley next week wanting a win and if we can get one a top ten finish shouldn’t be out of our reach.
Have your opinion all you like, but f*** right off with your 'so called fans'.

Roberto de Zerbi

"The effort was good, good enough to decide this game. We played a good first half, until the second goal we were in the game and then finish."

"This moment without a lot of important players it is tough to create a chance to score."

"We played against Arsenal and they are top of the table. Especially in this condition then we can lose against Arsenal at home. We are sorry for ourselves and our fans."

"Maybe we will not close the gap, I don't know. This gap to close with Liverpool and Arsenal we are not in the condition to close this gap, especially with all our injured players."

"I don't know what the club wants to do [in the future]. My problem is on the pitch, to improve my players and my team. The other things are not my business."
I think that could be summised in two words, glass ceiling.

Feeling a little low right now after that defeat. We just struggled really but with just a few good periods of play. It doesn't help with a lot of the squad not fit to play 2 games in a week with players just coming back from injury. Just have to say that the arse were better (spit). They were more dynamic, we were slow. Just hope our season doesn't fall away now. RDZ needs to knuckle down now and pick up the players until the season is finished.

Weird game - never a 3-0 - all 3 officials biased as f*** - didn’t create enough - Arsenal nowhere near their best - Arsenal fans embarrassing as always til they scored 2 - sang a Liverpool song to celebrate 🙌

OK, not sour grapes, but why was Ben White not penalised for feigning injury and why did the ref blow for an 'offence' in their box after we had taken a corner, only to let us retake it ?
Watch a fair bit of European matches and imho the officials are far more switched on than ours !

God I hope they don’t win the league. What happened to Arsenal who were once a likeable club

Fair point - we're all fans, but some make a song and dance about losing to a far better side on the day.
We did lose to a far better side, but played like we did when Hughton's reign was ending. Had they not conserved energy and taken off their key players, the scoreline would've been very ugly. They did what they had to do and we just let them. That's the bit that sticks in the craw for me.

The test of whether RDZ has 'lost the dressing room' comes with our end of season run in. I'll be surprised if we get more than two points from those eight games on recent showings.

Didn’t hear a peep from them until they went 2-0 up.

Were used to big 6 getting all the ref calls but when you throw in the Lino’s and don’t try to hide it, it is embarrassing. That was shocking first half.

We played well first half - didn’t do much or created enough all game. Arsenal were off colour really and got a bit lucky. Never a 3-0 - we’re suffering with injuries and quality / tiredness. It is what was expected and will be same for Manc C game. Move on.

As a squad, too much of our senior first team experience is injured, added to which (while I’m hugely encouraged by Baleba’s recent performances) we’ve not got the quality we had last season in the middle of the park.

To my mind we’re about where we should be, suggesting that the coach is doing a decent job given the players that are fit to play and where they are in their journey back to full match fitness/sharpness.

I’m not happy about losing, but losing to the league leaders is not something to get too worked up about unless we’re genuinely in that fight ourselves. We’re not.

With the potential that we might strengthen ourselves rather than weaken ourselves over the summer, and the reality that our youngsters will have a better idea of what’s needed to compete, I’m optimistic about the future, even if I’m not optimistic about the run in.
