Move on from last season, this season we've spent money and have better players. Did you really honestly feel we played well today? The Emirates win was excellent but we've been average since then and today we edged a battle of 2 poor teams thanks to a smash and grab. That's fine if it gives us confidence to play better, starting at Leicester. Let's see, I have an open mind but I need to see us really making better use of our better squad, much more consistently

We made really hard work of beating that load of crap, (Pépé the exception). We looked badly disjointed going forward.

Who provided the assist for Maupay?

Ironically it's a battling, nasty forward like Maupay that is exactly what Arsenal need alongside Aubameyang.

They haven't got a single pair of bollocks between them. Xhaka plays the hard man but he's a walking yellow card without any intelligence, heart or fight.

Arsenal looked fitter, more skilful, multi million pound squad on show. Little old Brighton scored two goal to the Billy big balls one. We have happy fans they are very sad angry fans. Great result

These aren't the players you're looking for.

Today was a great win.

Unless you are Ryan, Dunk, Webster, Bissouma or Maupay I would worry about keeping the shirt.

The rest were pretty poor

First game after a 3 month break without a proper preseason, I think we can cut them a little slack

Three games in a week after 100 days without a competitive game, I think only Ryan is likely to keep the shirt.

What bar/hotel is that fellas

As SeagullDubai said in #651, it's the Movenpick down in Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai.

L-R: yours truly, bhafc99

(awaits the obligatory NSC n, n comment)

Considering we'd watched any number of consecutive defeats including the 6:1 Liverpool Cup mauling, the 2:0 Massive Playoff defeat and Palace's 0-1 earlier this season, it was well overdue!

Couldn't care less about what some sore loser Arsenal fans think of Maupay, whether we rode our luck, or whatever.

Brighton and Hove Albion 2, Arsenal 1

That's what matters.

A great day out

I've drunk all my Harvey's from that delivery I had and now I'm now I'm on an Argentine red wine from Majestic, that's slipping down the pallet quicker than the Greyhound down the flank, and am well pissed. There isn't much competition, but I have to say this my favourite day of 2020 so far, therefore I love you all, very very much. :clap2:

I knew you’d drunk your Harvey’s delivery as soon as you said “ and now I’m on now I’m on an Argentine red wine”

Three points closer to the points total I bet you we'd get to, that you pretended not to see, even though you replied to every other one of my posts on that thread in 30 seconds flat.

You must be loving lockdown. There's no doubt you only get invited to one party a year, and even then everyone ignores you, and even then it's the annual convention of left wing social inadequates (uber pedants sub division). Now you don't even have to tolerate that.
Hmmmm definitely *issues*

What a day! My first son was born at Haywards Heath this morning and now a last minute winner for the Albion :clap2: :clap2:

Massive congrats to you and Mrs Zamora. And a big Albion welcome to Neal Zamora, ;)

Tough crowd, first game back after 100 days and you expect us to play well? I will move on from last season once this one is finished as I read comparisons of the points total every game we play (seldom read comments about how much better we are as a PL team to watch though)
But did you read many of those comments of how better we are to watch on the match thread before the 75th minute though? Really?

Today was all about some very brave defending, some pretty directionless play in midfield (aside from the excellent Bissouma) and a couple of flashes of flair for the goals - pretty much the template of Albion in the Premiership that you say you grew to dislike so much.

But some scrappy wins against the odds are often the sweetest! and that's the case today as it was in the last couple of seasons, glad you are enjoying those once again

Watching the Albion this season, even when we are struggling, is massively better than playing not to concede from the first minute like we did last season. I lost the will to watch the Albion from early last year, I have never felt like that before in all the years I have followed the club. We were totally outclassed in so many games last season, we have come off second best in many games this season but we have seldom been outclassed....imo

I am loving watching the Albion again

Sorry if already covered, but don't the new rules permit up to five subs in up to three breaks?

Does HT not count or something?!

March 45min, Montoya/Connolly 71min, Stephen 87min, Mac Allisterat 90+4'min

Last year, go a goal down at that point in the game against that sort of opposition - and I would have thought that was it. This year I still had hope we'd get a draw or more - that's the main difference for me.
