What a brilliant half. We could be 3-0 up, we could be losing.

Gomez - plays forwards every time. Energetic and strong. This game would have bypassed Ayari. Too fast and strong for him.
Pedro - great for the goal
Rutter and Minteh - great work rate but give the ball away a bit which is a problem. Not because we won't score, it's that Bournemouth are so dynamic and dangerous.
JPVH - amazing last ditch tackles
Bart - great save
Mitoma - at it and trying to beat their full back (who is a centre midfielder)
Webster - wow. Just wow. Imperious. Scary to think if Dunk was playing in this game given his form this year.

Van Hecke and Webster have been class. I feel we're hoofing the ball up a bit too much and Bournemouth look very dangerous.

Side note that the commentator I'm listening to is terrible, said it was naughty that Baleba kicked the ball into Kerkez and that he 'knew' what he was doing... yeah it happens all the time, you kick it into the opposing player so it bounces of them?
Trying to think who he is. Been slightly negative towards us from the start IMO but thought it sounds like Adam Virgo.

Worthing
Lamptey is obviously on for his pace, I love Jack but, he ain’t the quickest.

Dare I say it, I thought they were running out of puff a bit in the last 10. They had a hard game on Saturday, we had a bit of a stroll in comparison, it could tell in the 2nd half.

Yep, Lamptey is far too keen to pass backwards and I've not got faith in us passing through the consequent press for 45 minutes.
Out of possession, Lamptey is tucking in and Minteh is almost wing back. He's the only one who can get anywhere near Semenyo in a foot race. It's the age old problem of pace at the back when we commit so many forward.

I'd hook Lamptey for Hinshelwood to be honest, not a game where we are likely to be using Lamptey as an offensive outlet and I just prefer Hinshelwood in there defensively and to give us a bit more presence.
I agree. They’ve targeted him relentlessly. He’s done okay but Hinshelwood would add a bit more steel

Big shout out for JPvH - screaming into the face of their (excellent) fullback after one of his crunchers. Like an invading barbarian

Feels like this could end up 4-1 either way. We're a bit too reckless and attacking for my liking, would rather we sat back like we did against Chelsea. Don't need to take risks as we are already winning.
