He doesn't mess around or mince his words does he.
Thankfully he doesn't. And that was exactly what was needed at halftime with a few home truths told.

We saw the results seconds after the restart.

Can we stop doing so many stupid flicks? Too many on Thursday and several failed today. No need for it.

Great second half. But nonsense in the first. It will be interesting how De Zerbi processes this because clearly there's a balance here between rotating and picking a line up that's cohesive and has enough quality in it.
Baleba looks incredibly exciting and will give Gilmour or Dahoud a bit more license to focus on creativity. Gilmour clearly has to be taking set pieces.
Yeh I think we are allowed to criticise our great manager, accepting he has to make difficult choices to create two teams for our extra games this season.

But there was a lack of balance all over the pitch. Billy and MD are good players (Billy not surprisingly ahead given he’s had longer here) but as a combination they are very lightweight. Persisting with FB as a winger is weird, look what happened when we brought on an actual winger who could take on the BMuff full-backs. I’m not sure Fergie and Danny gel that well either.

Stil, as bad as we played it was only virtually throwing the ball in our net that put us behind. To come back from that after we couldn’t on Thursday is really good

Also did anyone else find themselves surrounded by loads of different people to normal? Hopefully these newbies were the ones getting angsty about us passing it out, footballing plebs.

First half Muff didn't press and with zero movement in our midfield, we had no answer to it so Verbruggen would just stand there with the ball and no outlet.

Second half with Fati and Mitoma, we moved around much quicker and gave the player with the ball, options to pass.

As soon as we got going, Muff had no answer and there was only going to be one winner and a gulf in class.

It has been a long time since we had a lucky win and this was it. Much improved in 2nd half but not that good. Just before our third Bournmouth looked more dangerous than us.

I know Fati missed a sitter today but can't help love his enthusiasm and ability to find space, always wanting to play with the ball.

Joao Pedro is also unbelievably skillful and a proper unit all at the same time.

We are absolutely blessed with options up front, who ever thought Brighton would have these absolute talents playing for them.

Second half. Immediate impact from Mitoma which set the tone. Baleba looked a wee powerhouse when he came on. Look forward to seeing more of him.
"Wee" is not an adjective I'm ever going to use about Baleba! Except perhaps as an ironic nickname like Little John. Maybe we could have a midfield duo of Wee Billy (actually wee) and Wee Carlos (really f*cking not).

Can the buonotte experiment end now . Looks Dogshit every time he plays

Also dahoud - not up to it
Blimey. Were you sat behind me today shouting 'launch it' at Bart?

Look forward to coming back to this in a month or so when everyone's creaming themselves about these players.

Remember enciso, the forest Green vintage?

Buonanotte plays much better away, or when teams don’t sit back or man mark like today. He’s still young too but indefinitely think there’s a decent player there, but agree prob not on the wing.

Dahoud seems tidy but haven’t seen nothing out of the ordinary yet, will give him the benefit of the doubt as he’s still new, but given his age and experience maybe he should get it quicker.
