Another fine piece of footballing journalism - Lawro was a Premier League player:

What is the average goals per corner stat? It’s probably a bit higher than 1 in 115, but I’m fairly sure it’s much lower than the cheer all fans give when the ref gives their team a corner deserves.
According to my Tifo How To Watch Football, it's about 3% overall in top 5 European leagues. Only about 7% even lead directly to shots on goal. Short corners are, surprisingly (to me, anyway) more effective at around 3.7%.

Can't see anything for the plastics to moan about really, not our best performance so far, but we're not allowed to play liverpool every week!
Second half we're totally stuff 'em

Undav and Lamptey doing well. Solly and Dunk been very good.
Gilmour does look like he's struggling with the physicality.
Mitoma has picked up after a slow start.

Overall...I think we'll be fine.

Bournemouth are doing what we expected. Sitting deep and making it scrappy. We've broken through a few times. Eventually one will go in. Surely.
Assume Caiicedo will come on second half.

feels like estupinian and mitoma have fallen out, estupinian not even looking for him even when he’s free.. not sure why?
Always playing the pass central instead of wide .

Very poor and ragged looking first half, that. Some very bad individual performances so far, the normally reliable Veltman has been caught out several times.

Very lightweight in the middle of the park and up top and shaky at the back for good measure.

Gilmour and Gross just isn’t working. Desperately missing Caicedo and MacAllister - and Ferguson!

Undav is lightning slow - sometimes it’s like he’s playing in treacle with lead boots.

Hoping for a much better second half!!

Got the stat for percentage of goals conceded on the counter after winning a corner? We seemed to specialise in scoring length-of-pitch goals from defending corners or free kicks between 15-17 in the Championship.

After those shocking misses, Undav has actually done ok, some good runs and lovely touches.

What a shame one of those efforts didn’t go in, could have been a massive confidence boost for him.
Agree. If he'd scored his chance we'd probably be raving about how amazing he had been. His link up play looks very good.

We've made easily enough chances to out of sight.

Undav doing OK. Dunk playing well. Estupinan, Mitoma and welbeck all quiet

Blimey match thread bringing out all the negative whingers as usual. I'm not sure who I should be booing - Undav, Gilmour or Bloom. Have a word with yourselves some of you.
