Thats easy, overall GD.

But what if we beat them 2-1 and end on same points, where our side by side GD is 0.

3 points each, GD 0, AEK scored 4 (3 away), Brighton scored 4 (2 away)

Is it still then overall GD ?
Looks like it.

Anyway - as I said earlier, when we've won all our remaining games, it will be irrelevant!

Forgot it was Ajax. They were awful.

We totally controlled it. To some degree, it was pedestrian.

Ajax let me down because they made that easy.

Ansu Fati - "We go for more"

"First win for Brighton in Europe, very very happy. Great performance from the team."

On his goal: "I moved into space and he [Simon Adingra] gave me the ball and I shot. Very happy to score my first goal in this stadium and we go for more."

Joao Pedro - "We needed that"

"First win for Brighton in the Europa League, we needed that this time for the fans to enjoy. Happy to score, to play for this team and to make history. We keep going to play for Brighton."

"We didn't win the last two games, we had a tough game against Marseille so today I think we deserve. You have to enjoy tonight and be prepared for the Premier League game [against Fulham]."

James Milner - "We deserve to be in Europe"

"This was a big win, it was important to get the first win in Europe after a slow start in the group, especially away from home."

"I think if you look at the Brighton squad, there is a lot of quality and the performances last season weren't a fluke, they obviously deserved to be in Europe. We would have liked to start the group a bit quicker but we have improved now. We've learned so much from these three games as a group."

Roberto de Zerbi - "A great day for our fans"

"We played a great game, we played very well, we deserved to win, maybe with more goals but the most important news is that we didn't concede a goal. We kept a clean sheet, it is important but now on Sunday we have another big game and we have to be ready."

"We didn't expect the tactical disposition of Ajax, they defended with two strikers and we had time to understand the space. In the first half we played Pascal [Gross], [Simon] Adingra and Joel Veltman and in the second half we understood the space better."

"We scored the first goal after a lot of passes, we have to improve to move the ball faster, to play and reduce the amount of touches for every player but we have got the first victory in Europe for Brighton. It is a great day for our fans, our club, our owner and we are very proud to give them this day."

Comfortable win against Ajax. Didn’t need to get out of 2nd gear…

Would have been an impossible thing to say once upon a time.

Great result no injuries and being played at training pace is good news for the next game coming in quick successio.

Dunk, Milner, Mitoma, Pedro and Grob all played well in fact no one played badly.

But North Stand what’s up a few rounds of Albion Albion , SBTS, Dunky one of our own apart from that you were so quiet surely you choosing to sit in the north stand is because you wanted to be part of the singing section the atmosphere makers but your not why?

What’s the problem is it the stadium design, is the north stand no longer the Brighton end from what I can remember the north stand at the Goldstone was a living breathing powerhouse a wall of noise and scarves, the last 20 minutes of any game the north stand really were the 12th man

In my opinion our away support is so much more vocal where NSK have more influence how can we get that atmosphere and noise at our home games

Atmosphere was great in the North tonight... 🤔 loved it - wide variety of chants throughout too which spread right across

Well . . . that was deserved. Not really surprised that Ajax came with a low block considering their form but really they shouldn't have as they are the mighty Ajax - but that was yesteryear. How things change in football. We played like Ajax from yesteryear with Gross even doing a few Cruyff turns. Well played lads. :albion2:

Give over. The north stand was singing throughout the game.

The last 20-25 felt a bit bizarre, I’d like to say we had worn them down with our passing and it was so accurate they couldn’t get the ball, but at times it felt like a pre season friendly! We were passing the ball around in our penalty area and they were only half pressing us, I expected an onslaught and all I got was a half press. It was very Man United like from Ajax I must say. Maybe these Dutch managers like the half press cos Ten Hag has brought it from Ajax to United. When we pass the ball so well teams need to press us otherwise you get 50 passes in a row. Strange tactics from Ajax.
