Yes, but games are won or lost in midfield.Dunk and Veltman look better and better with every absence though don’t they?!
If we don't keep the ball, our defence will continually be under pressure.

What?My take is that we have given them too many free hits against the run of play and yes we lack a leader, but have been far the better team with over 70% possession and in control for the most.
Igor the best performance on the pitch for me and a real positive.
Not to say that I'm over confident we'll get the breaks and turn things around on this occasion but here's hoping
Exactly.you make your own luck by being in the situations
Sussex police are gonna have a rude European awakening christA Greek tragedy.
Meanwhile, Marseille fans have rioted in Amsterdam with reports of stabbings and firebombs set off in the ground! Good luck to anyone going to the French Riviera next time out.
Actually - we weren't too bad at the corner taking aspect tonight. For a change, most of them beat the first man. It's just we didn't get on the end of them.
Crowds are so important in European games. It sounded flat after initial burstCrowd had an absolute shocker. It's funny at the AMEX sometimes.
Yes. But normally there's nothing to get on the end of!That's the problem!
Yep, pretty sure AEK would struggle in our league. That moment you arrive to go toe to toe with Europe's elite ball players and find out Sean Dyche's Burnley have turned up to turn you over.
Second win in England....Was surprisingly impressed with AEK tonight.
Or score from set pieces. And don't defence them well either.Sad to say but we deserved nothing from that. Defence was very poor and once again we cannot breakdown a mass defence
Yeah, thought he should have found our player unmarked in front of goal, Mitoma I think.Oh well. A night of what could have been. Two freak goals conceded. Pedro really should have won that. Oh well. Win next week and it’s all good.
They did remind me of a Dyche team. Sometimes we just need to gain greater control. Better in the second half but still off our normal levels. That moment you arrive to go toe to toe with Europe's elite ball players and find out Sean Dyche's Burnley have turned up to turn you over.
A Greek tragedy, but no disaster.Second win in England....
Anyone would look good with Dunk. We don't have another defender anywhere near him. We are going to be very reliant on him keeping fit and it hasn't started well this season.I just get worried that Dunk in our central partnership makes up for the inadequacies of all the other central defenders. If Dunk and Van Hecke don’t play we are going to struggle. It doesn’t surprise me that Igor’s disciplinary record is so poor.
