So the U23s take on table toppers Everton tonight after briefly going top after beating Blackburn 2-1 , The toffees then dispatched a Man City who have suddenly realised it's cool to defend sometimes 1-0 regaining top spot , Derby also won so we remain in 3rd spot but obviously will leapfrog Everton with a win , it looks like it will be a tight game so get on a 5-4 if i were you now , the frequency of our late goals is quite remarkable , and that man Connolly just keeps banging them in , hopefully be some sort of coverage for tonight be that audio or Seagulls TV , no official club match preview up yet , but it's early :) .

It's everyone's duty who owns a boat down there to get on the Fog Horns at 3 am , some of the players may even be home by then after sampling the delights of Friday night Brighton life .

I think there will be a couple of changes for tomorrows game my guess would be Bong having a rest and possibly Knockaert coming in for a start who would replace Bong i'm not sure if Suttner's up to speed but Bernardo perhaps , Bong looked all at sea v Wolves and this would not have been missed by the Toffees , i keep hoping not to see Connolly or Gyokeres starting for the U23s in hope one of them may make the step up to the bench but while we are winning i doubt it , I really think ~The Greyhound has ability it's just trying to figure out where best to utilise him , he absolutely destroyed Chelsea with his direct running but in the same game flares were set off because he went completely missing at the other end , i really do like him and i hope he sticks it out .

We have to be on top form to get a result tonight Everton look pretty good to watch , they must be fed up with us after chucking away a 2 goal lead against us in the Intercontinental cup , Suttner started that game and looked very dangerous when crossing so wouldn't suprise me to see him tonight if he's not being considered for tomorrow .

Official Match Preview (minus the already played links which non subscribers can't view anyway)

Brighton & Hove Albion’s under-23s welcome top-of-the-table Everton to the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre this evening - kick-off 7pm - knowing that victory would move them above the Toffees to the summit.

Simon Rusk’s side momentarily topped the league table on Saturday afternoon, following their 3-2 victory against Chelsea, but wins for Everton and Derby County saw the Seagulls drop to third.

But with the Toffees visiting the south coast for the second time this season, after September’s 2-2 draw in the Premier League International Cup, Albion can reclaim top position with their fifth league win of the campaign.

Aaron Connolly notched his tenth and 11th goals of the season after Viktor Gyokeres dispatched from the penalty spot against Chelsea, and despite the Blues bringing the score back to 3-2, Albion held on for maximum points.

Everton sealed a narrow 1-0 victory over Manchester City on their last league outing, but tasted defeat in the Checkatrade Trophy as they lost 3-2 to Oldham Athletic on Tuesday evening.

Tonight’s meeting will be the third time the sides have played at the American Express Elite Football Performance Centre in just under nine months and Albion maintain an unbeaten record.

Ben Barclay levelled the game with a front-post header in September, before James Tilley prodded Albion in front, but Ellis Simms struck for the Toffees to earn a share of the spoils on the south coast.

The Premier League Cup provided the competition back in March, and goals from Gyokeres, Connolly and former Albion man Jiri Skalak sealed a comfortable 3-0 victory to beat their top-tier opponents.

But after last season’s promotion to the Premier League 2 Division 1, Albion will come up against Everton for the first time in league competition and top spot is the prize up for grabs.

Albion supporters can follow a live text blog on the Match Centre, with a report and gallery to go online shortly after the full-time whistle.

Has anyone got a spare? I bought my ticket this morning, and now a mate wants to go - but it looks like it's already sold out. :tantrum:

I just called the ticket office - and it's not sold out, but ticket sales closed at 2pm today. It would be helpful if they stated that this would be the case on the site.

Really don't understand why they close sales so early for these matches.

i am not sure where you got that from as I thought that he started slowly but grew with the game and in the 2nd half was one of our best players. I also hope that you are wrong about Connolly and Gykores as I believe that neither is ready and perhaps their time will come in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in January.

How does your belief get it’s opinion?
