Brighton hotels with function rooms

I'm trying to plan my wedding for next year and am looking for a decent hotel to hold the reception.....For about 150 people.
Any suggestions??

I'd go along with that as well... One of my mates had his reception there not so long.

Yeah ta, i've called them a couple of time and left messages, but no ones come back to me. If thats their admin process i'm not sure I,
a: want to give them my money
b: trust them to meet my expectations if they can't even return a phone call??!??

try the holiday inn, they used to have a very good function room when it was hilton west pier, cant have changed that much

Been to the the Thistle, it was a magnolia horroshow - but the Holiday Inn could be a goer, cheers

Have only been to one wedding in Brighton, the reception was at the Racecourse, think there were about 200 guests and there was plenty of room, might be worth considering.

I went to a reception at (i think) the Queens Hotel on the seafront. Function room was very good but the Bar was really small.

Never been to the racecourse, but ideally looking for somewhere where a group of us can also stay for a few late night tipples.
Also may wanna nip off for the obligatiry wedding night shag before i'm too pissed to even raise a smile...
