Sorry if fixtures, but I don't think it is.

I thought it might be interesting to list a few of the things our forward thinking club did before anybody else. Ideas can come from anywhere in the club's history.

One's you're not sure of are welcome, I'm sure some stattos will correct any that are wrong.

I'll start with what I believe to be the most recent.

As far as I know, we're the first club in English top flight football to get hammered 7-0 and then make up that entire goal difference in the next two games...

First club to have padded seats throughout the stadium.
…….. as I fondly remembered when sitting in the uncomfortable cramped seating at St Mary’s! I’m not particularly tall (5’ 10”) but my knees were jammed against the seat in front all the time.

This must be the oldest "first".

First club to have their captain convicted after assaulting and later threatening the manager.

Club captain, Frank McAvoy punched manager John Jackson to the ground in 1902 and later turned up at The Farm Tavern (which Jackson ran) with another player looking for him. He wasn't there and they fold his wife "We are going to the station to meet your husband, and you must consider yourself lucky if he is brought home alive!"

They were fined £10 and "bound over to keep the peace" for 6 months.

This is a complete guess. But might there be one about having 4 home grounds in the shortest space of time?

I THINK we are the only club to win at both North London sides (Arsenal and Tottenham) in the same week.

We must be the first and only club to be reigning champions of three national leagues. For a brief period in April 2002, we had won the Division 2 (ie League One / third division) title with games to spare, still held the Division 3 (ie League Two / fourth division) title as it was still up for grabs, and were also (and shall forever be) reigning champions of Division Three (South), which we won in its final season, 1957/58, before the bottom two divisions were 'nationalised'.

I might be wrong - was very young at the time, but seem to remember it being discussed back then.... Were we the first team to play in the FA Cup final and get relegated in the same season?

When we played Ajax at the Amsterdam Arena weren’t we the first team’s fans allowed to drink alcohol in the away section? :drink:
That was a revelation, wasn't it? Love the fact that the bar staff just said 'sod it' and started serving. Great fun, until the tear gas came in.

First club to arrive at Wembley for the cup final via Helicopter (BCal). Although a coach was needed ‘cos the spoil sports wouldn’t allow to land in the pitch😂

I CBA to look it up, were we the first team to get an official apology from PGMOL because of a VAR cock up?
