Every year I look forward to the Festival Programme with eager anticipation, expecting to see something musical I would be thrilled to queue up and see. Every year I am bitterly disappointed to see I have barely heard of any of the performers and have no interest in anything, musical or otherwise. Am I some kind of philistine or is it all just pretentious bollocks?
I think the best idea is to trust the organisers, who wouldn't put on things that were rubbish, and TRY something you've never heard of, rather than queue up to see something you have.
