Believe he copped a stretch for posession of nose candy as well after being stopped for speeding.

Problem with Codner was that he wouldn't give up his 2nd job in the city (much to the chagrin of Barry Lloyd). Think it was about the same salary as the Albion paid him so would have cut his income considerably to quit. Guess that means he never trained at the same level as the others.

My mate used to work across the road from him in (or close to) Liverpool Street in the Insurance/Finance sector.

Codner would be the perfect answer to our midfield creativity question. He would fit nicely alongside a couple of scrappers and could stroll around all afternoon getting the plaudits. I would have him back (if he wasn't in his late 40's!)
