Brighton fan banned by Perry

I have just found out that a mate of mine and life long Albion fan who was one of the co-authors of 'A Casual Look' which came out last year has beened banned from attending home games for 2 years because of an interview he gave for FHM last month on casuals. Whatever your views on Football violence, he has never been convicted of any offence, is an excellent photographer and I feel this is totally outrageous. I haven't seen the article, but the comments he made were commenting on casual culture in general and he wasn't advocating violence at Brighton games apparently. Did anyone else see the article and do people feel Perry is totally out of order?

Good old Sussex by the sea!
No and yes.

Hasn't Perry got anything better to do - like getting another site lined-up in case Jonney Two Jags turns-down the Falmer application!:nono:

If it's Lorn then i know him too.Haven't seen the FHM article though.

Definitely out of order if he's been banned, didn't know he went to home games?

Yeah, he just banned him because he was bored. 'Cos Perry is such a psycho isn't he. He is so unstable and inconsistent. Worse CEO we've ever had.

Happy to hear the full evidence on NSC, but my first reaction is to trust the management.

2 of my mates have been banned by Perry,
1 for standing on the seats at Plymouth, and the other one for selling his ticket outside the ground!

So how many people do you see on a Saturday selling tickets outside Withdean?
A case of Victimisation me thinks.
They both got 3 month bans, the one at Plymouth banned from all games for 3 months, the other is banned from home games only.

Perry banned me & Robbo for the minorist of offences last year but only for 2 matches... Perry knows feck all about football and the emotions that come with it IMHO.

Come on Charlie, is that really all it was for?

Fan standing on seat

Steward: "could you get down please"

Fan: "Certainly"

Perry: "You're banned!"

I'd have thought the club were at liberty to ban anyone who deliberately brings bad publicity to the club, whether it's a journalist, a fan or a member of staff.

Someone who bangs on about football violence in the name of the Albion sounds a bit of a nob to be honest so I won't be losing any sleep over this personally.

Good is what I say. Footy violence books often glorify the subject matter and it p!sses me off no end. Its people like this that cause people like me to get treated like a 2nd class citizen when I put a football shirt on because the stigma of violence is still associated & whats more they are making money out of it. If the book does glorify violence (and I haven't read it) then ban him from all grounds, not just Brighton.

And you are outraged about a reaction to something that you freely admit to having no knowledge of.. ???

Yeah he does when he gets a ticket, hes not a season ticket holder. You can buy his book in Borders or Sportspages in London. Apparently its their biggest selling books of the summer. Anyone who hasnt seen it should definitely have a look, its nothing like all those ICF 'we done you at the station in 83' cass pennant bollox. And theres some brilliant pics, away at Palace, '80's and 90's away games.

Perry is a knob end of, football is becoming a sh1te game for the upper classes. Lorne has done nothing illegal and this is a disgrace if it was an asylum seeker people would bang on about his human rights but because its a football fan (yes fan) noone gives a sh1t
