In the last 7 games in all competitions, we have managed to ship 15 goals, which works out at just over 2 a game.

This with a back four of predominantly: Whing, Elphick, Hawkins, Richards.

In the last 7 games this time last season, we conceded just 8 goals.

That with a back four of: Whing, Elphick, El-Abd, Richards.

What are we doing so wrong this season?

I propose a fight between El-Abd and Hawkins, the winner can play in defence alongside Elphick, Richards and Whing.

Can't possibly think what CHANGE has been made to our defence that might have made us concede for fun....

For starters Hawkins is not very good. But although that is a problem I think it covers up for the real issue which is the defence just don't seem to be playing as unit this season.

We are missing Butters

I would agree with that to a certain extent.

Having a left footed/left sided central defender along side a right footed one always seems to work better.

Shame we haven't got one now...........oh, sorry forgot, we have, but he's been shipped out on loan as he was pissed off with after having rather a good game at Northampton being dropped for someone who was clearly not fit. (Despite the famous Adams 'keep the shirt policy')
