I wasn't a fan of the previous two. Tom is a top bloke. A lot of local politics, as you know, is more about serving individuals. That's why there are some Labour (and even one Tory) who I'd be happy to see returned.

I see there is a Lab/Con split in Westbourne. Curious.

Some of it is down to personalities locally. I'm more puzzled that people are surprised Labour has finally made inroads there at the same time as winning back the Hove parliamentary seat.

Didn't have Westbourne down as a core area to helping Labour win Hove. I guess its very much a north/south split in that ward.

38,000 residents registered for postal votes in the local election. 30,998 sent back their postal vote.

Wow 7 thousand people couldn't find a postbox

I don't know for sure but most elections are about x amount of people = x amount of elected officials, so here in North Laine and St Peters we have 3 not 2

New Labour councillor for Central Hove will be Clare Moonam and @Wealls remains in place for Con. Lab take [MENTION=13018]chris[/MENTION]hawtree seat.

Wealls is a very good councillor, so this is good news for whatever party you side with.
