Could be a bit of tough justice if the previous case is anything to go on - to quote from the BBC article linked above:
"The FA accepts neither the club nor any of its employees acted dishonestly" ................. so they fined us £90,000 - and the agents a mere £7,500 each.

Although it would be nice to get the Cucurello (sp?) deal through, with the strength and depth of our young squad, a transfer ban might hit us a lot less hard than it would hit other clubs - that one up the road, for instance. Hasn't that Japanese winger got to do a year at USG before he can sign for us anyway?

Anyone know what sort of punishment we might receive?

The Regulatory Commission shall have the power to impose any one or more of the following penalties on the Participant Charged:
(a) a reprimand and/or warning as to future conduct;
(b) a fine;
(c) suspension from all or any specified football activity from a date that the Regulatory Commission shall order, permanently or for a stated period or number of matches;
(d) the closure of a ground permanently or for a stated period;
(e) the playing of a match or matches without spectators being present, and/or at a specific ground;
(f) any order which may be made under the rules and regulations of a competition in which the Participant Charged participates or is associated, which shall be deemed to include the deduction of points and removal from a Competition at any stage of any Playing Season;
(g) expulsion from a Competition;
(h) expulsion from membership of The Association or an Affiliated Association;
(i) such further or other penalty or order as it considers appropriate.

We got (a) and (b) last time; my wild guess is we will receive the same again, plus quite possibly one of the other punishments 'suspended' pending a future (third) breach of regulations (points deduction???)

How odd that Andy Naylor seems to have missed this story, but not the one an hour earlier so kindly reminding everyone that the club are giving free tickets to the NHS.

read it and it started to hurt my head - can you what did we do wrong in wrong in one or two sentences please.

There was some smoke and mirrors about who the agent was and who would be receiving the agents fee.

"The offences that have been admitted are serious offences which involved the respondents deliberately concealing information from The Football Association in respect of the involvement of Agents in Transactions. It involved a number of parties acting in combination to deceive the Football Association by means of false declarations and failing to provide information about the true nature of the Transaction."

The Club claim they were misled.

"In particular the Club contended that Mr Kleinman lied to Mr Burke and Mr Allan by telling then that he did not have a Representation Agreement with the Player when in fact he did."

The FA agree the Club were misled but that the Club should have been more diligent

"We accept the evidence that the Club was misled by Mr Kleinman as to the existence of a current Representation Contract with the Player. That however does not excuse the failure to comply with the Regulations. In evidence before
the Commission Mr Allan accepted that he knew Messrs Levack and Kleinman had negotiated the contract and they would gain financially from this transaction. We accept Mr Allan’s contrition which was evident before the Commission and that this represented an aberration in an otherwise exemplary career. However he himself admitted in his statement that he “had an underlying worry regarding the agents involvement.”

Look on the bbc Twitter feed.

They are all over it

But are remarkably quiet when asked about the St John’s Ambulance money they welched on paying
