Never had patronising replies.

However, whenever somebody asks me where i'm from at Uni, the standard response is "Lucky you, I love Brighton". Either way, I was born in Brighton and plan to carry on living here for the considerable future.

that's odd, the first reply i get is 'are you gay?'

I do find it quite weird the number of people born and bred and still living here appears to be so low in this City - where do they all go?

Personally, having moved here from Haywards Heath 27 years ago, and living with 2 true Brightonians (Mrs P & her daughter) I feel like a Brightonian, even though I'm not.
