I have noticed the number of available bikes dwindling - looks like the scheme will be shut down end of December and reappear at some point in 2023 with a mix of electric and non-electric bikes.
I find the current ones really handy for popping into / back from town at about £1.50 per journey. It’s a shame there will be a gap with no bikes, hopefully the new ones will be decent when they appear and not too expensive. The current scheme I thought was good but there have clearly been issues maintaining the bikes for the last few years.

BTN BikeShare scheme to pause ahead of relaunch
Brighton & Hove’s BTN BikeShare scheme is to pause operations from 31 December in preparation for a new look scheme to launch next year.
