I suppose the way to look at this is 'out of adversity comes opportunity' - on various levels:

- is TB prepared to find a enough dosh to fund a loan striker
- for Oscar to show how he can lift the players and minimise further damage / keep us ticking over until we are back at full strength
- for fringe players like Kemy, Ince, Conway etc and others to show if they are prepared to put a shift in and force their way into the side.

I hate to mention his name but the fact is Barnes is doing his best as our lone first choice striker to lead the line - but it just isn't happening for him. Come on Ashley you know you can do it.

Agree with all of that, apart from the Barnes bit. he's a great support striker, holds the ball well and can put himself about but he's not ready/capable of being the lone striker at this level.

Greer's lapse in concentrate to give away the penalty was probably the key moment. Think we were more than capable of clawing back to 2-2 when they went down to 10. As it was, Forest stayed calm with a 2 goal cushion.

Forest are well financed, they will be there or there-abouts. It still does not help our position though. Still, I cannot see us going down, the players will be back before the end of the season to help with the relegation battle.

Err THREE out of 4 strikers crocked as well as the most creative part of the midfield crocked, another one in absolute shit form, not forgetting the defensive lynchpin of the midfield crocked. I can understand why we are struggling.

It is just a smokescreen. If we wanted to stretch the boundaries we could like the others are doing. Apart from the clubs with parachute payments, surely our expenditure could be biggest as we have the highest revenues? I understand Forest got round it with "sponsership payments" - why can't we?

I was referring to Ashley as our lone fit first choice striker - but do agree he isn't effective playing on his own up front. I feel this should be his big chance in Ulloa's absence but ironically that's what is impairing him too. I had hoped that Buckley might show some aptitude playing closer to Barnes but WB seems too lightweight so maybe we should have played Barnes off Dickenson rather than two wingers.............all a bit desperate, I dunno. This is where Oscar now earns his corn.
